I’m new to cycling, I’m looking for a bright light. Does anyone know which one will be brighter/better? This or

With cateye you know that the 800 lumens is realistic. The 8000 lumens by the other brand is a lie.

I have the AMP400, been using it for more 2 years 5 days a week, use the pulsing output and charge lasts over a week and gives out enough light for my trip in winter. Would buy agin when this gives up the ghost

Yes, it spreads quite well and is an excellent price

I have this and a cateye ampp 500. It's not bad, but I would say the battery should be bigger. It doesn't last that long when you use the brightest setting. But then again, it's small and cheap so I can't complain too much

I bought this one before. Good on unlit rural roads. Would buy again. Wide spread but not a spotlight that stretches 100 mtr like my Chinese Cree light. A combii of both would be fab but I now only use the Ampp800 on my commute. Charge at home and work each day to ensure 50 minute run time.

Wow, that's a LOT of charging to get an hours usage!

Great little lights, small enough for back pocket, bright and powerful enough for most needs other than say banging fast trail riding.
