And? They are bike lights and very good ones at that.

CatEye lights are good quality, but these are very old spec - modern lights are much brighter and rechargeable by USB port.
These are fine for occasional use or as spares but the front light won't be suitable for anything other than a road with good street lighting.
    Aka cities

    I've had these lights -

The front light isn't strong enough to see where you're going in the dark, but perfectly bright enough to be seen by other road users.

And the batteries last a very long time.

I went for the Lezyne 600XL and KTV rear set. Lezyne are like the Apple iphone of bike lights in terms of build quality and design.

These would suffice as "be seen lights" but I wouldn't expect to be able to ride on unlit roads comfortably.

I’ve used these over the years. Rear light better than the front IMO. Front isn’t strong enough really. These sets are a good deal when on offer for the mount brackets alone for a second bike.

Much better RECHARGEABLES regularly available at lower prices from Aldi and Lidl. No excuse not to have rechargeables.

I have had Cateye and Lenzyne lights and been very unimpressed: more about brand marketing than performance in my experience.

I've got a set of the Lidl rechargeables.
The rear is great and hardly ever needs charging.
The front light needed charging every couple of days regardless of whether I'd used it or not.
In the long run, the Cat's Eye was a lot less hassle.

I avoid Cat-Eye lights. I reckon their product testing consists of riding a bike once or twice round the smoothly tarmaced company car park in good weather.

On the other hand their cycle computers seem immortal and I've got three which have lasted me 20 years.
