Oldish light, but for the price and warranty, cracking light and distribution profile for full dark rides.
Typical price online is £80 delivered, so £40 is remarkable.

Bikeradar review, giving it 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Manufactuer's blurb:

The CatEye Nano Shot Plus emits 600 lumens of light and has 3 different modes: High, Low and Hyper Constant (flashing). The Hyper-Constant mode puts the light on the low setting while simultaneously flashing on high, so that you can see the road while also being seen by motorists. The Nano Shot Plus also has an optional helmet mount. When set on high, it’s a great trail riding light.

•Weight: 160 grams (light unit and battery)
•Light source: High intensity white LED X2
•Light output: 600lm / 5000cd
•Run time:High mode approx 1.5hrs / Low mode approx 4hrs / Hyper Constant mode approx 2hrs
•Battery: Li-Ion rechargeable battery (3.7V-2800mAh)
•Recharge time: approx 8hrs (USB2.0 recharge) 80% full recharge in 5hrs.

Thanks, I will keep this on the list but I was looking for something 800-1000lm as I will be taking canal paths in the dark

I was torn between a few, and have finally gone with the nanoshot+ on the handlbars and a Cateye volt 300 on the helment, as I got the 300 volt & 50R set for £30 at the same time, so 900 lm on the road surface.

Is the offer still on for the 300/50?

Unfortunately not :-(

Well if you spot any offers like that can you give me a nudge please

Gone for this as it seems it will do the job hauling myself down the route 67 canal paths this winter

As you said, I can always add a helmet light if I need more.

Thanks.

(replacement battery is nearly £50 so this should be factored in that the light may only last people 2 years and then go for a new light instead of a new battery)

Glad I helped one person at least!

Yes, the battery is extortionate for a replacement, and doesn't have the best life, but as you say, at this price I see it as a throwaway light in 2 years anyway, as LED tech is moving on so fast.
One thing I'm trying to work out is Cateye recommend that if left unused, it's charged for 10 minutes every 6 months, which I'm not sure the shops will do... So does that affect the warranty?

I'll be popping to a Bricks and Motor Cycle Surgery in a few minutes, will see what else they have in.

Battery should come 70%ish from the factory as it is LiOn based, while a full discharge can kill the battery so long as it has never been turned on it should come up full just fine after 4-5 cycles.

tbh if it is still fully functional when the battery dies I will find the size and buy an alternative even if I have to solder the cable onto it

£1 Quidco has tracked!

Heat added for this deal, but I'm still awaiting delivery. Got an email from S+S saying that there are none in the warehouse and the despatch is awaiting a unit from a store.
Just be aware that there may not be any in stock.

*sigh* mine arrived today, box had been opened and it was missing the mount and charge cable.
Now waiting for them to pull one in and courier swap it.

I am one of those that always ends up with crap like this happening to me!
At least they were good on the (free)phone call I made to them, straight through to a real english person as well. I did ask how much to keep this one and they only offered me 20% off, I doubt it is worth sourcing the spare mount and being in profit with £8 to play with so I told them to arrange the courier swap they said would take place.

Going to have a look at a second light from the bay for the pitch black canal path rides

Ha, I got a tenner back from paypal after putting a claim in for the open box issue, shame they said they wouldn't be taking it back from the seller but an extra £11 off as my Quidco was confirmed today.
