I've heard this is censored and the additional content isn't all that. Something to look into before you buy.

Original was brilliant.

For what it's worth, I hate unnecessary censorship in anything such as all the changes Sony were making a while back but in this case it barely counts as censorship imo and is way more leaning towards simply adjusting something in a positive and more progressive way.

There's a trans character somewhere in the game and apparently Atlus made the change to use their female name in the credits as opposed to their dead-name and altered one line so as to not be what was honestly a very iffy line regarding basically the main character listening to a "real woman".

That's all they changed if it helps (I've heard some people say pronouns are altered too but some folk say they aren't).

Transphobic dialogue was removed, along with the deliberate spelling in the credits.

It's 2019, if you play the original you'd likely cringe

Censorship sucks. That is not good.

Rather would have played the original. If you can't deal with in a game (repeat, it's a *game*ffs) there is something seriously wrong.

There was a line in the game that basically said he'd only listen to the answer "from a real woman" and the character's name was written as NameA (spoiler free) making it clear it was a trans character

I'm not saying I'd be offended, but it's such a minor change it barely falls into censorship.

Most of the time it's not the people playing that have the issue but the general public. Leaving it as-it-were in 2019 would see Atlus vilified and Sony put in stocks for letting it be released with a transphobic quote.
