Heat added for the good prices but the last time I got a cauliflower from Tesco (we shop online so didn't pick it out in person) for the full price of £1 it was literally the size of a cricket ball!

I have seen them walking around the stores with the carts they use for home delivery, they dont look at what they pick up they just grab the first one that comes to hand which is fair enough if you want to scrutinise the produce you should do your own shopping.

Yawn!!

Some people aren't able to do their own shopping and heavily rely on their orders being fulfilled fairly.

So you expect staff who have hundreds of orders to fill to rifle through each piece of fresh produce a customer has ordered and make sure its up to that customers standard of which they have no way to know what that is. Picking the first thing they see is fair, picking something intentially that no customer would buy in person would not be fair.

Double yawn!
In your picker's note, write "As large as possible please!"

It's not been a great year for cauliflowers, so that may explain it

Yeah sometimes staff are not interested in doing their job properly. I'm sure pickers get trained to use common sense regarding ridiculous produce, it's just some staff don't have any, so I don't blame Tesco, as it's through hiring low wage staff that literally don't care about their job that we get low prices.

If you want a large item, add a note on the item in the basket. Some of the time pickers ignore the training but it will increase the chances you get a large cauliflower or whatever. Failing that take a pic and send it to CS who will refund. Unfortunately that would be no good if you needed to make a large cauliflower cheese on the day or whatever, so you could order two to be safe.

That's what I did, 2 massive cauliflowers.. with a topping of black mould

Tbf Tesco is normally ok.

Rarely a picker will be a total moron and provide ridiculous items, but just complain and hopefully they'll get retrained to do their job properly and save everyone else hassle in future

I'm ordering these again but putting a note on the item order: "No mould on please"

We can but hope
