Found 14th Sep 2014
I have been looking for a chocolate without added sugar for a long time (which is affordable for me) and I found this one yesterday in Tesco. Sweetened with stevia which is one of the healthiest sweetener. I checked it on amazon and they are much more expensive there.
Milk and dark chocolate are available.

Chocolate without sugar?? What's the point?

'Offer Valid Until 2/6/2015' - best get a move on!!

Good find, szippancs, thanks for posting.

(For me), the next massive breakthrough will be popular biscuits without sugar - Custard Cremes; Hobnobs; Chocolate Digestive etc etc etc. It can't be that long away - surely??!!

The point is in the chocolates not the sugar but cocoa anyway.

Hopefully that time will come soon. Also I can't wait for healthier flours (coconut, durum, almond etc) to be on the shelves.

You are talking rubbish. Xylit, erythritol, stevia have got minimal effect on blood sugar and insulin levels. Yes, our bodies run on sugar, but we have to choose that sugar wisely.

Utter nonsense. Our bodies are capable of using multiple sources of energy.

If the body requires glucose, it will manufacture it from available fats and if necessary, proteins.

I've been fat adapted for quite a long time now. I very rarely feel the hunger like i used to.
No longer do I have issues with my blood sugar from all that excessive refined carbohydrates in modern foods - admittedly processed foods (anything that isn't raw ingredients). Cholesterol and blood pressure have also dropped down to near athlete levels.

Life is all about choices. Fine if you want to make a choice and carb up but in no way, shape or form is it any more valid than choosing to substantially limit carbohydrate intake.

Science yo!

if you marry into the uk royal family, szippancs - you'll get free chocolate at christmas.

i was reading yesterday about cadbury's who've got a royal warrant.

each christmas they make a special blend of dark chocolate (not available to purchase by we common people) which they send to the royals.

they even have a special `royal` machine to make it so it isn't contaminated by common chocolate.

hi, does anyone know if this is suitable for vegetarians

Oh yeah. Not that low on carbs.
The primary focus would appear to be the wholesale replacement of actual sugar.
That being said, most of the carbs apart to be polyols so if your body essentially ignores them then it's fairly low.

Alternatively, Tesco have Lindt on offer at the moment. 2 for £3 (£1.89 each).
85% is 19g of total carbs per 100g bar.
90% is 14g of total carbs per 100g bar.

90% takes a bit of getting used to. A friend who said she loves dark chocolate thinks it's far too bitter. I find it a little bitter but generally enjoy it.

The 85% is much smoother. Just tastes like 'expensive' chocolate.

Good find nonetheless - especially for those unaffected by polyols or for those just trying to reduce their sugar intake without giving up the luxuries.

Thank you. Dark chocolate has got less carbs, so I think I'm going to stick with that.

I eat hardly any sugar, my body is running on fat deposits at the moment as I'm fat and I'm dieting. It's certainly possible for your body to run largely on fat deposits and it's not really unhealthy.
