This is how my parents met!
My brother still loves his cb's! Spends hours 'cqdx-ing' so he can try an decipher some words through the static and have a 2 minute conversation with some random bloke in Poland! Meanwhile I'm Skyping my brother in law in Australia!

I keep telling him I might be interested when Skynet has taken over the world and I'm dodging terminators but for now I'll just stick to my mobile!
One nine for a lady breaker, any lady breakers out there copy this one. Over.

Definitely a lot of rodgering happening back in the day.

One Nine a Rodger?
10 4 good buddy. What's your handle ?
So we crashed the gate doing ninety-eight
I says "Let them truckers roll, 10-4."
Putting the hammer down to try my new seat cover, avoiding smokers, whilst avoiding Kojak with a Kodak.

I'm gone.

PS : voted HOT for the nostalgia trip.

Have some heat - love these. Back in the day studied for my shortwave.
Use to do a lot cqdx.... 20 years ago. What a lovely time. I remember days when put extra amplifiers and none of my neighbours had any TV chanel when I was trying to get contacts with Italian blokes. What a days!! President use to be the best. Midlands also not bad.
Don't you need a beard to be eligible to buy and operate one of these?

Does anyone anywhere use these? I think it'd be quite cool to have one but I'd be concerned I'd hear nothing but static

I guess if your somewhere with no mobile signal or on the Continent after Brexit and roaming becomes ridiculously expensive again..

"... a top choice for Truckers, 4x4 Off Road enthusiasts, Caravan Holidays and keeping in contact with your Base camp when Hiking" from the Midland set on Malins.
Really making dogging accessible to all with these low prices.
Do they come with the 20ft tall aerial to put on top of your car!?

Absolutely, so it is not obvious to Plod you have a CB Radio in your vehicle.

I miss the 1980's. Our neighbour had one of these in his lorry and we used to go on it after we got home from school.

"Breaker, breaker for a copy."

I can confirm these are great for dogging.
It brings a new dimension, as instead of having to rely on flashing your headlights to direct the action you can give full comprehensive instructions over the radio.
Really is the future for all doggers!
