hmm....think I need to call them - have yet to receive mine....although I fear I credited the day before the switch officially completed and 30 days later :(

mrT786

Sorry I totally worded it wrong. Ment approx week after the 62days have passed from switch date. But thanks will watch out for the email towards end of the month.

brianp9

Natwest is good - no direct debits needed and for existing customers but only £125

brianp9

it's not paid a week after your switch date - it's within 7 days of the email saying you have qualified for the reward

mrT786

Do they pay reward approx week after your switch date?

Just received mine. I put it in when account first opened and about 35 days for the 2nd installment (to be safe). Was about 60-70 days payout time.

chrisc55

ive put the first 1000 pound in last month but is the next 1000 pound to be put in within 31 days or after 31 days, so could I put the next £1000 say in 20 days after the original to qualify?

one2one24

Still not received the cash back to date. Yes I put in £1K the first month then transferred it back after 24hrs and same again the second month. Will make contact with them and see what they say

Quicklite

Wondering about it too. Did you put 1k in each month (or multiple transfers accumulating to 1k?)

one2one24

I've met the rules but still haven't received the £150 account was setup 9 FEB I saw somewhere paid in 63 to 70 days

Also if you have previously had the Yorkshire bank £150 you cannot get this one

Newbold

It has - and it's a stunningly awful bank. Did the cashback and it was the only one I ever felt was so much hassle it wasn't actually worth the bother for the cash involved. Got out as soon as I could. Seemed to have been designed to make banking as painful, time-consuming and unpleasant as they could make it. Imagine what a bank run by BT might be like, and this is it.

nivvy34

I have a mortgage account with them. They have very poor customer service, eg letters get ignored, hanging around for ages to get to the correct department and not very competitive rates.

I used the maximum withdrawal to invest and trebled it in the 18 months. Paid back 100-200 GBP p.m. from my wages. This was a different credit card.

Just got accepted - awaiting paperwork through post - Thanks op:)

I hate deals like this, the only reason banks offer it is to encourage people to run up debts that they later can't pay back without first paying loads of interest. yes the intelligent and/or affluent few can benefit but overall I think they should be banned.

cliosport65

always depends on individual circumstances :)

Alasdair91

These are apparently very very difficult to get, according to MoneySuperMarket. Also, you either get accepted for all 26 months or rejected. Some other cards offer less months (19) but you'll definitely get them and are easier to be excepted for.

Set Up Fees! What on earth are they? Clear profit for the banks and Societies! Should be outlawed!

jchung07

Yorkshire and Clydesdale was bought by National Australian Bank (NAB) many years ago...They are looking to sell these off over the coming years...Also I think this is a great rate for 90% LTV so heat added. If people find a lower one, then it is not going to be much lower. Heat added

So when the government say they want more competition by introducing new banks they mean their same just under different facades.

Taz1529

Ending up not worrying about it, told them accurately what I earn each week and they still let me in. I know first direct are very particular about income. I've been rejected by them, and coop back, even though I have credit history for 6 months and a few long term debit cards.

Good find.

mistermoneysaver

First direct just paid out- now time to switch to these and bag another 150

mistermoneysaver

Cant understand why this isnt hotter- £150 for minimal work. Ah well., I will do as crumpetman says anyway.

crumpetman

Open the account and go through the switch process (and thus close down a bank account you no longer want/need) then pay in £1000 from another account, wait for the £150 switch incentive then withdraw your money and repeat the process for the next bank offering a switch incentive. There is nothing to say that you have to have your wages/income paid into this account nor that you need to keep using it apart from the initial £1000 pay in.

Bridotronic

Any money from a bank for free is a good deal although I would never deal with Clydesdale Bank again! Hear added though

Yes quite annoying that, I was going to get one of each and couldn't see that mentioned in the terms and conditions but that's what they told me when I tried to also open a Clydesdale account. Yes the 4% rate is fixed until March 2015 then changes to 2% apparently, as there is less than a year to go until March 2015 the annual equivalent rate (AER) figure will drop monthly hence the change on their website.

4cx250f

rate change to 3.83% aer. description edited.

nwo

Santander 123 3% interest only kicks in if you have a balance of over £3k. So this 4% Clydesdale deal is better if you have upto £3k

norville555

Santander 123 better deal if you have loads of direct debits . 3% on up to 20k

manicmidlander

I believe Yorkshire bank offer the same deal. Unfortunately you cannot have a Clydesdale and a Yorkshire account as they are part of the same banking group.
