Ordered this last week when it was on another coupon, not the upto £50 but the one before, upto £75 and the ram is perfectly fine for gaming, decent quality.

anyone who judges these prebuilts usual its cos of the case / cooling / psu......... take advantage of the ebay discount and then speak to them about upgrades after direct on the phone, they will swap over, they only get told whats the full invoice amount and not your discount.....

Good find OP, parting this out you couldn't do much better. They seem to not give the RAM speed though, makes a significant difference with ryzen, well it did with my 3600
The Ram is 3000 MHz Adata XPG Gammix D10 according to the specification tab. Would that be suitable enough?

Very nice - still debating on PC to buy and this seems perfect...thanks op. Quick question - if I wanted to add a second hard drive later, I assume it wouldn't be too tricky with this?
Never got into pc gaming but interested in hooking it up to my oled and playing at 1440p 120hz

Might need a better gpu than this. Something around 2060 super or rx 5700 level (the latter would probably be a better card for the money?)

Yeah I've seen need about 2070 super for it but best going for 2080 super for ultra 120fps 1440p
Is this better than the CCL online deal for £499? We were going to try to build one ourselves for our son who loves fortnite but these seem a lot less daunting! Thanks so much

Would the rx5700 handle VR gaming or is it better to stick with the 2060?
This PC is well worth the money. However if you want that 120FPS 1440Hz performance, don't just swap the Gpu.. U prob have enough cash to don't go cheap on psu mobo etc. Which can fire back.
Is there much difference this and the deal posted last week: A Mid Range 1080p Gaming PC - £579.99 @ CCL / eBay.
£579.99

I'm not sure which one to go for. Would be used for gaming and some video editing.

I'd say this is the better deal, but depends on your requirements.

This one has: higher stock performance CPU (+5 to 10%), slightly better GPU (+10% ish), cheaper motherboard (probably irrelevant unless you want to overclock), half the capacity SSD, same RAM & PSU.

Both should play Fornite at 90+ FPS on 1080p at high settings - if you're after 1440p at 120Hz then you'll either need to drop quality or splash some more cash!

that one has a better cpu (but not always reflected in gaming performance sometimes this would perform better, would be a good amount better performing in video editing though) but its gpu is slighty worse (the 590 is a 12nm refresh of the 580).

however the one you showed can use the same code which brings it down to 514 so i think its worth the extra if your video editing.

I would say the two would be comparable. I’ve only been able to find one VR comparison and there’s not a lot between them.

Scorching hot, fully capable gaming PC for a great price. You could also install inactivated windows if you want to save even more money
What's the best PC deal on eBay CCL for say £1k? anyone know how much does one need to spend for 1440p on high or ultra @ an attempted 120hz?
How much would a copy of Windows add to this?

As easy as Lego.
Some help please. I have ordered this for a Christmas present. What is the simplest way (not necessarily the cheapest way) to add Win 10 to it? I am not particularly computer literate so would need to be reasonably straightforward. Happy to pay £70ish to purchase something for Amazon, but don’t want to buy the wrong thing and have difficulty installing direct from a BIOS screen.

Don't do that mate.

This is a decent PC, but not really up to playing games at 4k in all honesty.
Playing the latest games in 4k is a huge challenge, the hardware required to do it well, is very expensive.
You will probably require a graphics card that will cost £1000 alone, never mind a fast processor and memory.

Also, OLED tv is not suitable for long gaming spells. It is the finest and purest picture available for sure, (yes samsung i am talking to you with your inferior QLED), but because it can, to a large degree suffer with image retention burn in.

I would still rather have my OLED, over any fake QLED, that's for sure.

I have been PC gaming for many, many years and if i was buying a PC today to satisfy my gaming needs it would probably cost easy £2000+
I currently have a fabulous gaming rig that is 3 years old, so i am due an upgrade. I play PC games on a 27" Asus Republic of Gamers 1440p (144hz) monitor and it is absolutely mind blowing. Once you go to PC gaming, consoles pail into insignificance.

Great price, decent spec this deal....heat from me.
Is there a more suitable desktop pc for video editing? Not bothered about DVD Rom or HDD (just 256gb SSD min) as I have spares to add. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated. Only game I’ll play is the new theme hospital.

I bought a usb stick with Windows on for a fiver as I didn't have a usb stick at hand.
If you have one and another pc you can download windows 10 from Microsoft and put the trial version on.
I've had it on for over a year. It's unlimited and you get a watermark in the bottom right of your screen and less customisation of the desktop.
The minor drawbacks haven't been enough for me to buy a cheap key from somewhere but that's an option.

The screen burn issue is pretty much gone with LG C9 oled 2019 oled's as long as you know what you're doing and don't keep on static images for long periods as I've seen a guy on YouTube playing at 1440p 120hz on C9 and he says it's a different beast to playing on a monitor as oled has instant pixel response covers 99% of DCI-P3 ect ect
It may help some to know but I reckon CCL are a great company, helpful and accommodating.

Have bought a prebuild there and visited the showroom, before I started building my own.

Looks like a good deal to me Plenty enough power for today's fortnight generation.

PC enthusiasts will always stick their noses up at less than top performance but forget that not everyone needs the latest greatest fastest components when building a PC and playing games.

This is easily enough power for most of the games I play come to think of it.
