16gb ram lolz

All you really need for 4k gaming. Anything else is overkill.
I remember paying more for 486 dx2/66 with a 420mb hard drive, 16mb of ram and a dual speed cd.
Edited by: "devlino" 6th Jan
and if i preselected 32gb and kept it at £1200.00 no doubt some moaning person on here would say ohh overkill dont need 32gb lol..

(comment above in related to old price with outt the 1TB SSD, updated to include as per "click buy value"..... can remove in the tabs within the ccl..)

plenty of ways to go about this deal for that 1200 budget.....

For this price it should come with 32gb.

lol seriously?.......... its £1120..... by pcpart picker..... for these parts, so within the price ud have to remove something yeah?.....

its a build what starts off at 750........... which preselected as folks are asking me for advice on 1200 kinda builds but kept it at 1135..... to room for many to add on which they could but who needs over 16gb.. not many.. where as some want 4tb.hdd. so it gives them room to add on

Others would call it future proofing
anyone whos also looking for a 3700X this is a nice build to work from, it is £130 extra and tbh its alot more then the gap between a 3600x and 3700x as thats about £100....

however the prebuilts set with 3700x come with expensive cooling u name it n cases.. n random stufff.. so they have extra build charges and when u remove this kinda spec on all else except CPU the price is high for a build charge, so paying £10-35 whatever the charge is in this one plus +£30 extra for a 3700x for this kinda PC is still better then all the else out there. but im hunting down the best 3700x deal.. so bare with me on it...

I'd say it's the minimum. Many games now recommend 16gb.
Future proofing is what should be in mind now.

Also, for this price you should get 32gb

They can offer better discount than £10 cheaper than building yourself.
You can guarantee they are using the cheaper components too. Forced to have a naff case and PSU too

With increased price
I think that if you don't want to build yourself a PC, this is pretty decent. Almost the same set-up as me (2070 super, 3600, 16gb ram, ssd) and I'm running games in 1080p at max settings (144hz monitor and all games I play are hitting the cap I set on them). Because I play mainly FPS games like COD, Overwatch, etc, I'm not super into my amazing graphics and so never bothered with 1440p and such. However, I do a fair amount of VR gaming and my set-up handles all the latest games perfectly. I guess what I'm saying is if you want to get into PC gaming and want a set-up that lets you play competitive games with mates then this would be absolutely fine. If you want something higher spec than that and high-end/top-end 1440p gaming you probably want to consider building something yourself so that you can make sure the cooling, psu, case, etc are as strong as the rest of your components.
Excellent find. Thanks. I have been looking for a computer to use with the Oculus quest via the Oculus link cable to do PC Virtual reality. This should hopefully do the trick. I was looking at laptops. How much more expensive are these to run compared with laptops. Kids are in save the planet mode.

Clearly you are the type of person to buy for the sake of it, then you say “look at my benchmarks”...

16GB RAM is more than enough for any gaming, it’s cheap enough and easy to upgrade later.

Rust
Ark
Metro
Cod

All need 12+GB ram.

Add the os requirement and anything else you run. Shadowplay, web browser, OBS, etc. 16 is the minimum.
thanks for posting this deal!

You haven’t named where I need more than 16GB?...
Went with this but added a 2tb drive and 32GB ram. Main thing was that it played 1080p games at Ultra without sounding like someone is hoovering in the room next to you and it does that just fine. Played about with Battlefield V on my big (ish) TV and it looks ace. Then had to wrap it up and hand it to my son for xmas My old box sounds like I live next to a Jumbo Jet when it runs the latest games. Time for a GFX card update I think...
JohnnyRoller06/01/2020 01:52

Those are all examples.
Rust needs 16.

Why go for the bare minimum when ram is so cheap. Guess it's easier to argue rather than concede that I am right

Similar spec to my first PC although I think I only had a 486/33 but no CD drive or sound (got a sound blaster card and drive at a later date). Seem to remember that the machine came with a whopping 256k for graphics.

Miss the days of having to faff with the start up batch file to get drivers to load into high memory so certain games would work!

20MB ? Luxury ! We had to upgrade from 1kb and buy an external 16kb ram pack for the ZX81 and it all loaded from tape. Kids these days don`t know they`re born ! Wait, did I just say that ?

you are correct, its just a nice fitting a preselected for this kinda price build "something id least expect for the kinda cash to have" but did mention later on about adding the additional fan and change it to 3 rather then 2 if u wanted them ones "advise" ;-) these preselects are just my idea, anyone with some knowledge go in and edit it to your liking, the stock fan of a 3600x even though ive taken a look at the removal of copper from the heatsink is still a perfect good cooler at stock levels, clearly a 3rd party higher range would reduce temps further. ;-)
