I know its £15 more, but these parts will give: a faster cpu, gpu, ssd and ram.

Whats the gaming aspect? Is it the game of finding a game worth playing that this will play above 720p at all low settings!

Really? I game at 1080p quite well on a 4th gen i5 and 780ti, both of which are about 7 years old now, so I'd be surprised if this can't manage that........ Maybe not in the 100's of fps, but should be quite capable surely?

Hahaha 720p at low settings? What planet are you on? This will handle most games games at 1080p medium to high settings no problems.

Dont fancy the upgrade path on this much compared to the ryzen build. Plus there will be no room with that 400w power supply either

A 4th Gen i5 from 2014 such as 4690K is about 20% faster than 2017's Ryzen 1200. Also, the i5 can likely overclock by another 10-15% with little trouble. Nonetheless, with a 780Ti or 570, you'll likely be GPU bottlenecked in most situations anyway making the CPU less relevant.

You need to add CPU cooler and case fans.also a WiFi card as this motherboard doesn't have WiFi.

The processor should come with a stock intel heatsink that should be able to cool the locked processor?

The case is the same as this one in the article so i think case fans are the same, and with regards to wifi i always would go with a good dongle prefered to a pcie or i/o mounted wifi card due to the antenna being at the back of the pc, getting a weaker signal

that's fair enough, im sure for a tenner more it can be upgraded to a bronze 600w, it was just t fit in the price constarints and with regards to the upgrade path, the upgrading is not very easy on a320, as far as im aware it doesnt support overclocking, and hopefully not, but theres a possibility newer ryzen cpu's will not be supported by the manufacturers not issuing bios updates relevant for very old boards.

I agree with you about the a320 mb. I'd not go lower than b450 but that being said, the r5 3600 with its lower tdp will work fine on a a320 if you already had the board and wanted a cpu upgrade. It's a great cpu at stock speeds so no overclocking needed. Tech yes city on youtube has recently done a video on this subject and the match worked really well.

Edit. Video is 5 months old but still relevant

You can upgrade this to the nice B450 for £15 in the drop down menus mate.
I'd rather start from scratch, though at the very least would consider making these changes.

GPU: XFX RX 570 8GB - Same price as 4gb
Wi-Fi: Remove
RAM: 2x 8gb 3200MHz
SSD: Intel 660p 512gb
Total: £429.99

The Wi-Fi options are poor so I'd remove it entirely for now in favour of a Gigabyte WB1733D-I (approx £25).

Perfect!... someone with some sense and extra tips on their idea!. cheers

#choices #choices.
Id always built my own but brought a pc from these and was very impressed! Would very much reccomend as id never heard of them before!
It's a decent system but I would pay the extra £17 and upgrade the mobo to a b450 in the drop down and also select the 8gb 570 rather than the 4gb 570 as they are both the same price. Processor is decent but it can always be upgraded at a later date but it will be fine for a while.
Hey Sarden you know the builds I was looking at yesterday (delta pro ) and price point around £650 ish
so I have up specced this model with better parts how does that compare with my delta ?

An immediate concern with that build would be the 5500XT, I'm unsure whether it's worth the premium. I'd be inclined to spend the extra on a 1660 Super or drop a tier but would welcome opinions.

The inclusion of MHW: Iceborne Master Edition does lessen the blow if you're likely to buy it anyway.

i wouldn't touch the 5500XT either, i did it in the post as an alternated item as its a new post something new then my usual lines... otherwise im repeating my self with the same stock. , did state at the end my choice would be super.
the difference between full size bolt and little mini bolt -> in size...... is that someones hit the big tall one on the head and its squished out somewhat lo

#they made a mess up though.... the mini is therefore wider.. so why not make it have 14cm fans on the top!.

Sarden if it was your cash and you had my price point £650-£700 max
which build would you go for ? And would mini be ok over full size tower ?
and if you were to tweak any what more would you do as I’m a noob at PCs , not had a desktop for many moons and definitely nothing capable of gaming

As long as I has a decent SSD ,I have a mate with a IT company and he said he has tons of HDD I can have for him to put in so no
I can go to £700 max on the pc
leaves me £150 for monitor and keys etc
I was looking at RX590 cards but not a option on this build is that cheaper than the 1660 super you specced and how much performance difference is there as the RX is 8gb and the other 6gb

its got a good improvement in terms of speed lol the super.. yeah its swings and round abouts with the mini, the mini is good at 1200.... 1600.... then the other with some 2600.... 2600x... rx590.... but then it swings back in fav of the mini for the super, but then swings back to the other !.... ahhh. see youtube: RX590 VS 1660 super... uve got a nice budget over the typical folks so its a worthy, spec on this mini, unlike the older one.

im currently writing a full list from £260............. 1200 builds which is better and the alt version of it, as it gets bit urrrrr when each package crosses.

back in 15........ doing that list what i would.. be shocked!
