Now if that had, had a Nvidia 9400M or equivalent ATI GPU I'd now be £380 worst off. Great deal if you don't care about games. Heat left.

Was £479.99 - Well I bought one from Comet in November for £399. Good laptop though. but not that great a deal.

Yeah I got on in November too for £369 delivered from Empire Direct .. but of course they have now folded

It might be a bit better getting the HP G70 if you have a bit more money. It has a better cpu and now comes with a blu ray drive. Mine was 450 but will be cheaper now.

Would thoroughly recommend this laptop........ as I am using one at the moment.

The only thing is that you will really need to upgrade the RAM, and since it comes installed with 2 x 1MB already installed, if you want to put 4MB in you need to buy two modules. The extra RAM really makes a lot of difference.

Saying that, I am very impressed with the build quality, the in-built webcam, wi-fi signal, the screen quality and brightness, and, because it is a 17" you get a number keypad built into the main keyboard.

I paid ~£380 in January from Dixons.

pretty good price for a decent spec 17" laptop. voted hot
