The POWER8 workshop PLUS is an all in 1 cordless power tool/workshop. It was voted best DIY gadget by the Gadget show when it first came out. I have been after one of these for ages, but have not been able to afford the price, but at under £250 inc. delivery. Would love the Lithium, but cannot afford the £350+ cost. Could not hold out any further and with Christmas money, just ordered 1. Amazon has dispatched it and should arrive, hopefully before the weekend!!

Cheapest on the internet. only 8 left, so hurry if you are after this great product.

Yes knew about this. This kit comes with 2 batterys with a 1hr charge time. For small jobs this is perfect. Would love the Lithium kit, but cannot justify this

I have sourced the AC kit from here:

I did a little DIY around the house and needed a table saw, a new jigsaw and circular saw. Table saw come in at £100, jigsaw £14 (corded) and a corded circular saw £30 (cordless version is stupidly expensive). As I did not have these tools and was not prepared to pay £100 for the table saw, made do with the Jigsaw and Circular saw. Not the best results and it took me a lot longer than I wanted to get the job done, but at the time the Power Workshop was £330, so could not justify it.

I am about to put in a new kitchen, so bit the bullet as I have only a couple of weekends to in order to get everything in place before the wife goes nuts. The Power 8 is going to make my life a little easier. Paricularly with the edging and finishing bits (table saw, bench drill) and the cordless circular saw will make cutting the worktop to fit much easier. Plus when I am finished, it fits into a small box.

Happy wife = happy husband

Car boot for my old tools!!

Thanks for the support.

Everyone has the right to their opinion, even if it is a little ignorant.

This site is about which is the best deal, if you happen to want this product. If they can find it cheaper anywhere else, then let them try. But for me, I am happy to pay this price for a great product!!

Love it, just can't afford it

These are OK for ocassional light use, just don't expect them to last. If you're a more serious DIYer grab your self the real thing, a TRITON workcentre, they're pretty solid, although not as well made as they used to be, and will hold there value a lot better than something like this.

Idiot, you can easily spend more money on a single saw blade than what this kit will set you back (_;)

Yes you can spend this much on a single saw blade alone..... my junior hacksaw blade needed replacing and i didn't have much change out of! £239.99

Why not try making a useful comment ? Muppet!
