One mans opinion on Which thread.
I bought the Celcus offering and wondered what crock I had managed to waste money on. The sound was tinny, the program guide text is greyed except for the line highlighted and thus hard to read, the sound is automatically muted when looking at the program guide, the remote buttons are unreadable except under JUST the right intensity and angle of light. The sound problem I cured as I had some secondhand computer active speakers. I muted the TV speaker, plugged in the speakers and it was transformed. So buy some s/h speakers on ebay and be amazed.

The other problems are largely cured as I bought a Freeview + box as well, so it cost an extra £100 (doubling the price) to get something acceptable and get away from the cheap junk impession. I wonder if it would have been cheaper to buy a monitor and a Freeview + box, but then if the box breaks down, I have a backup.

Is that review not on a TV? I've got a toshiba 32" led and the sound is terrible too! I bought a bush siundbar with built in sub for £50 in an Argos deal and it's improved it no end.

Why would a soundbar have a TV Guide mate? Think that guy is referring to a Celcus TV.

In hindsight I think you may be right.
The word 'program' and not 'programme guide' might have caused my confusion, but I guess that there wouldn't be an 'on-screen' set-up feature (for a soundbar) without a more advance two-way connection method.
Never heard of the brand before and thought that the review was for soundbar as that was bias of article that the comment was left.

Sorry for any confusion caused.

I've got this! For thirty quid it ain't half bad hahaha. Great for watching films and intense TV shows due to equaliser and pre-set options!

Haha Buzz!!

I picked up one of these today. Synced to my phone no problem and when plugged into the TV worked first time.

I have a £1000 Samsung TV and the sound from this is far superior to the built in speakers. For £30, it's a no brainer.

I am very impressed with it since getting it at the weekend. Still one in Loughborough Sainsburys as of 7pm today
