PlayStation UK is one of the primary sponsors of London Pride 2017, which gets underway today in the English capital. And to celebrate the event, the platform holder’s released a free PlayStation 4 theme which you can download in Britain right now. Do they do a theme for heterosexuals?

Dealsrules1 h, 22 m ago

Homophobes vote cold, be more open minded

I never voted either way, looks rather tacky to me. But rather homo-fascist to label people homophobic because they never voted a deal hot. Trying to shame and abuse people only makes them do so out of fear not out of respect. Adopting an ironically bullying attitude will make some deliberately vote cold.

Yes, every other one + this one. You celebrate pride that it includes all. You're not excluded, join in.

Indeed. And not just free but a really nice style and (more importantly) a good shout-out to a fantastic event.

Or maybe even an equal rights theme.....or even a feminist theme would be great

I think people are missing the point here.

Pride is NOT an exclusive event purely for homosexual people - the very notion, idea and message, especially this year is LOVE EVERYONE. The entire Pride period is full of events worldwide, open to any and all individuals, irrespective of creed, gender, sexuality or other. There are no limits. Who individuals choose to love is their own doing, but for homosexual males and females it's been a long journey to get to this accepting day and age. This is why Pride exists - it's a show of unity and empowerment that the gay society can now openly enjoy.

Sony got involved, as did Skittles, McDonalds, and a whole host of other companies. It doesn't make you homophobic if you don't get involved, but to be wildly rude and disrespectful, and in one case above, make silly comments relating to the size of gay guys an**' is pure ignorance, and nothing less.

Too many sad comments.

Seeing this thread has put the nail in the HUKD coffin for me.
Do you know why we have pride weekend? Do you know what it stands for?

I'll download my free pride theme, fire up Netflix on my PS4, watch Paris Is Burning and be fabulous.
Happy Pride Weekend!

whoever will say my comment is homophobic he will be a heterophobic.
Pride is for LGBT only , not for everyone. Every year becomes more popular for marketing reasons and that people love to party and drink . Take for example Christmas, Easter.

Sony etc sponsor it not out of support, but because they see £££ in the whole LGBT market.

Don't think is is for any other reason.

Pride is for LGBT only? No. The point of pride is that it's inclusive. It's about the LGBT community taking pride in who they are, who they love and that being embraced and celebrated by all. It's a massive celebration of love and unity to be embraced by all.

I won't use the theme (Using Crash ATM) but I'm not against them doing it. In fact I like the idea of this theme. Some of my best friends are using this theme...

The Daily Mail told me to vote cold on this.

Well I for one think it's a nice thing to offer. Why we can't all just get along and be accepting of everyone will forever baffle me.

Of course money is involved but it doesn't mean it's exclusively about money. Companies get in on these things to promote their own talent of LGBT background as well as appeal to outsiders who may want to seek employment at the company.

Seeing a company partnering in something that is deep rooted to you will make you feel a lot more comfortable if you should seek employment there.

Yeah, it's why I got nothing but dirty stares and was told I didn't belong when I attended many a pride... Oh wait, none of that ever happened at any of the prides I attended. The entire point of pride is about acceptance. Of ALL by ALL. So, they kinda want straight people there because in a weird way it's as much about us (showing our support and acceptance for LGBT) as it is about those of the rainbow flag.

And heterophobic.... Never in the history of our species has being hetero meant you were either persecuted or killed for it. No one has had to live in fear for being straight. Get that nonsense outta here, including that in the same sentence as homophobic.

And you ain't homophobic. Just ignorant.

You'll gonna say that anyone who likes women, except lesbians, are a hater. My point is, if something is normal as we all know, there's no reason to be proud of that... But maybe is a pride of some who still have some doubts and want to prove something themselves, helped by the others.

Define the word "normal" as I think I've pinpointed your issue right there.

Who homosexual people love love is something that is as controllable as heterosexual people. In any case it does not affect you in any single regard, so quite why you feel that your vision of "normal" is any more "normal" than homosexual people, I'll never know.

We'll never finish this way, as I said, I don't mind what other people do, but that's a battle for those people, not for all of us, I want them in the same world with me, but we all chose the way we like. I do not like these invitations, to come together and celebrate something which is far by what I support in life. If someone is my friend, for real, not for sharing some drinks, I just don't care what he's doing in bed or else, in his life. If anyone miss anything and I don't, I'm more than happy to help, otherwise...

Bit of a **** theme, but it's the thought that counts. Obviously it's all cynical marketing and whatnot, but they're gonna do that anyway, may as well encourage them to point it in a good direction imho.

Doesn't deserve to be cold anyway, other ps4 themes have been hot afaik.

A little bit sad that people would vote cold. I'm not saying everyone who does is a homophobe, that's ridiculous. But you don't see any other free themes going this cold do you...

Quite a few sad comments, the first one wound me right up this morning lol. surely it's personal choice which way you vote. I don't think the theme will make any difference to anyone's opinion. I'm just glad Sony haven't put a price on it and it's free.
Heat from me, as it's not a bad theme for nothing.

No, it should be a battle for all of us because that is how society works. That is how we as a species got this far. By collectively supporting and fighting for an environment where all of us can live in the knowledge we won't be treated differently for who we are. But we still have a long way to go and it has never moved forward by people going "not my problem".

Would you really have this mindset if a sibling or child of yours were LGBT? It's not very hard to imagine how you'd want a society where they could grow up without any fear for being who they are, surely? In which case, it is a battle for all of us and it should not take until a family member is a part of it for us to see it for something we should all fight for.

And what do you mean by "but we all choose the way we like"?

So you were at pride yesterday? You saw all the LGBTQIA people as well as heterosexual people? As personally I was with a diverse group of people that included heterosexual people and I spoke to plenty of other heterosexual men and woman as well as the diverse LGBTQIA community. The message was very much about love everyone. So unless you actually know what pride is about or have experienced it then you should take you factless statements elsewhere

So when there was slavery it was only the their battle? Or when women battle for equality it's only their issue? I could go on but the point is none of those issue would have directly affected me but if something is wrong or is not inclusive then we should be supporting each other. If everyone took the stance of just getting involved when it affects you the world would be a more horrible place then it can be already. The message of Pride as many have already said is about inclusion and love, how is that not a battle for everyone?

The mods have been busy...
TBH, I wish they'd kept the stupid comments on to allow people to update their ignore lists.
