Hotty of the day.

Oh not this again! People have a very strange obsession with these shrinking containers. Voted cold sick of seeing them on this website everyday.

Nice one reindeer.

Vomit inducing, no wonder there are so many Fat Families and tooth Rot.

I would rather pay more and get more!
down to £3.50 a tub is ridiculous if you remember what the big metal tin of roses used to be back in the day. (as long as it wasn't full of sewing stuff).

Thank you for the fond memory. Button/sewing kit tins, spent many a happy hour rooting through my Auntie Sheila's old Quality Street tin full of 'sewing stuff'. There was enough knicker elastic to survive another war, should she need to

They were £5 back in August, this only the 2nd time at Tesco they have been on offer 2 for £7 same as they did last year. This is likely the last time they will run this offer before staying at full price for most of December. Being on offer twice is hardly a bad thing is it. They have had different offers on Christmas chocolate over the last few weeks including 2 bags of chocolates for £5 and cadbury retro bar selection only £2.50 whilst £5 everywhere else so stop your moaning.

And don't forget the real Christmas treat...Terry's Chocolate Orange...used to get so excited when Santa brought me one only to have the excitement replaced with feeling sick having eaten the lot within about 10 mins of finding it

Well done

Just been in our local Tesco. They’re still £5 each in there.

I am entitled to my view just like you, yes this is the second time on offer at £7, but pouches and boxes have also been on offer in this period of time , It is also very likely that these will continue on offer somewhere or other up until Christmas, If you like them that much great - enjoy. You are however the one moaning as not everyone shares you view. I stand by my original comments, and find other telling me to "Shut Up" or "Stop Moaning" just utterly Rude.

For those complaining about how they were so much bigger in the 80s, they were also about £10-£12 back then (and £12 was more) in the catalogues and only Roses and Quality Street.

The shrinking boxes these days are in preference to rising prices, you want the companies to charge less than it costs to make them?

Sorry, boring but true.

The offer starts tomorrow.

You're stating the obvious that everyone know so I'm not sure the 'boring but true' line was required,

You know notice people are really split on this issue: me myself I'd rather manufacturers and the ever price pressuring retailers stuck to traditional sizes and weights and charged accordingly so we could easier work it out instantly how in line the price rises are with the rate of inflation.

It's as much about duping the punters and increasing the profit as it is about inflation but they won't ever admit it, not even when pushed with clear statistical evidence

They also used real Cadbury chocolate back then. Not fake, brown coloured fat full of granular sugar. So they are not vaguely equivalent for you to make that comparison.

Sorry, boring but true.

Have to agree, they don't taste anything like they used to, much like bacon and lots of other things these days. God I'm old...
