The Amazon description is contradictory- says 70mm objective in some places and 102 Millimetres in others, a huge difference in spec. I can't figure out which you would actually get.

It definitely looks like the 102 one. It's quite a good refractor, but I think the StarSense Explorer is not worth the price - it helps you find objects, but then you still have to manually track them, so it's not a Goto to be worth over £300 IMHO. E.g. you can get an actual goto 102mm refractor for £379, or, if you have an iPhone, get the manual AZ one for £269 and slap on it your iPhone running my app to use its goto/hop goto ability to find targets. (p.m. me If you'd want me to give you a free code for my app, it's a hobby project so I don't mind giving it away).
The same app also works on dobsonian reflectors if you want something cheaper or bigger (edited)

Get a skywatcher dobsonian instead. Lots on ebay.
