interesting bit of kit, might be tempted.

Thanks op looks like a good bit of tech, anyone know any diff please say as I'm after a tv and will probably plump for this

mmm just wondering if it can take movies via home wifi network? at present I use my laptop to see movies stored on my mini server and can watch TV via VPN but this would be great in bed room or kitchen

Wonder why the 26" version of this was so cold last week when it was £10 more with a 5 year guarantee hotukdeals.com/dea…366

Bit of a crap make but loads of features! I always find on these budget makes (like my Foehn & Hirsch) there is always something bad about it, my TV for example has the worlds worst menu / EPG coupled with a terrible remote. But it was cheap....so meh

Might of got quite a few cold votes because of the over inflated RRP

22" full HD - pointless

I deliver and install all makes of TVs daily and can confirm you get what you pay for with these, picture quality is poor. I have been lurking on HUKD without commenting ( a bit shy ) and have been reading all the plasma/LCD etc posts with interest. The best advice I can give to anyone thinking about a new telly is...spend a bit more and go for the Panny G20.
And thanks to everyone who has showed me a hot uk deal.

How did you work that out?
Full HD (1920x1080) in a small area just means a better dpi and in theory means a cracking looking picture in a small screen, ideal if your going to be viewing it close up imho.

I have a 23" HD tv in the bedroom and it is perfick for me. DLNA on this would have been a clincher (_;)

I can't quite detect the sarcasm but it must be there if you're comparing a cheap 22 inch internet TV intended to be used in the bedroom to a £700 42 inch plasma.

with advice like that I suggest that you carry on lurking...

Cello. As sold by quality outlets such as TJ Hughes.

It's all very nice being feature rich, but if the technology build isn't up to scratch, then I predict some disappointed buyers out there.

It's the smaller touches that tend to shine, such as good epg and menu GUIs and I doubt this unit has them.

Caveat emptor.

i posted a 26inch m&s i viewer here last week for £199 and it went very cold yet with a five year warranty and im quite sure that the m&s model is better quality. sometimes this site amazes me.

Has anyone got this TV and is it any good?

This looks really interesting, but I don't see any scart or HDMI connections, am I wrong?

LOL, I have never understood how people can call a jump from £200 to £700 for a telly (or anything where you are increasing the budget 300%) "spending a bit more"
I do love the mentality of if you are not buying the best you are a peasant or something, like the pinnacle of how great a person you are is based on your worldly possessions.

Looks great for the Kitchen TBH. Do the live Iplayer channels work or is it just catch up ?

What I want really is this sort of spec but with very basic pc functionality built in, intel atom or similar something that can do flash and browse the web. Then I could loose the laptop from the kitchen and have a decent sized screen in there for watching the news etc..

I have a 22" UMC in my bedroom and it's been fine for nearly 3 years now, viewed from a distance of about 3m. This is a hot deal IMO, feature packed.

I can remember the days of 14" CRT TV's costing £200 (Sony Triniton ones at least) so either everyones eyesight is getting worse or people are just obsessed with size, is it a status thing?

This looks like a very good set if it works well... This is particularly interesting, at a guess I think it may be able to stream divx from a windows shared folder perhaps?

My god prisoners have more space than that. You’re not Osama bin Laden are you?

Was tempted by this but then you only have to look at the contrast ratio number which is 1000:1. This directy relates to picture quality, check the same number from proper tv brands eg 50000:1 etc....

Was £249.99 when I looked yesterday, but £174.99 today!

I know it says 1080p but it says nothing about a HDMI slot
is there ?

Anyone buy one of these and manage to get the iViewer update to work? Mine stops going after a while and doesn't move - even after I left it an hour.

yes there is.

Is anyone managing to stream iPlayer OK with theirs? Mine is painfully slow, not sure if it's my network or the TV at fault?
