Just booked for a weekend in London in August - £29 per night for a family room. Can't get much better for Central London. Makes a visit to the capital within my budget!

..........next thing is to wait for the train tickets and get them cheap with a family railcard.

I can recommend City Road and Liverpool Street (although both are flipping hot). Would like to hear what people think of Tower Bridge if anyone has stayed there. On Google Maps there appears to be a railway line running next to it!

I'm looking for Docklands, 30th May 2009, I assume it only applies to certain times/areas? (Coming up at £75 upwards).

I need to get there for a concert and I'm scared of leaving it too long!

Book a full priced room and if it comes up in the sale you can always cancel it. Make sure though it says it is a refundable room.

Thats seems very cheap, if you can book a train on an apex you could get up there for under £5.

Tower Bridge doesn't open until 18th December. That's were I've booked for next August...should be OK if new!

The rail line is the tube - circle and district line at Tower Hill tube station.

Have looked at the map in more detail and it's the main railway line into Fenchurch Street. Check out the address on Google Maps
