Amazing price for central London hotels for Sunday dates in December and January. Expectedly, only limited dates are available, with some examples being outlined below, but I thought it was definitely worth a share as I am sure many will find this deal useful for last minute christmas shopping (22nd Dec). No code is required at checkout.

'Let the train take the strain'
Return train in excess of £300. Be cheaper to fly. Sadly..
Why would you want to drive in the city? Take the train

We usually get train 2nd week in jan and hotel is never fully booked but showing it is now on the mon tue wed, how odd :-/
Just don't try changing the date later... they have an odd policy on saver rates whereby you can change the date but only for the same hotel and if it is the same price or cheaper. No option to pay the difference if more expensive so not an option as I discovered after recent BA strike...

Sunday parking will be free around these hotels. And south of the river you only have to go back a few streets to get free parking on Saturday after 12.

Alternatively try the likes of Just Park, you can usually grab some parking for ~£10 for the day. Ofcourse mid week the congestion charge will also apply. But should still be less then the Hotel Cost. Petrol is another matter

And if you have a diesel car older than 2015 (like me in my own city) another £12.50 for Khan's money grabbing ULEZ zone
I do indeed own a 2015 diesel

You could try moving, it costs me and the girlfriend £30 to get in and out of London by 🚉 from Oxford

The Central Tower Bridge is a fantastic TL to stay at if doing the O2 Arena or London Stadium, right next to the Tower Gateway DLR. For O2 Arena I normally go TL London Docklands but there's not much by the hotel so Tower Bridge is a good option too but does require an extra 10 minutes on the DLR.

You're right, loads of free parking in town on a Sunday.

Rubbish - Book in advance.
Family of 4 from North West or North East to London is £50 flat rate advance each way.
£100 for 500 miles of train travel for four people, and faster than the motorway travel is a bargain.
Train line must be lying about the prices then.. I’m not from the north west or the north east either.
Where from and what dates

Never had it that cheap for me and the wife. Usually only get a return for around 150. That's with a two together aswell. From Carlisle station. Is it 12 weeks that you can book tickets from?
Great find use link below to get extra 15% off price... £25!! crazy price !! Thanks OP

Quick snoop at your profile, you're somewhere Nottinghamshire.
So that's £65 off-peak single leaving in about an hour, so £130 return.
Else you could book a week or so in advance, and it's between £25-35 single for off-peak.

12 week on the dot. Stick in two adults, two children and there's a new £50 advance ticket.
If you and missus are travelling alone, I'd pick the family ticket cos it's cheaper and if questioned, say the kids are teenagers and sit on their own in a different carriage

I'd be interested to know how you get these prices. I'd be traveling from Wigan

May seem like a bargain but it's a lot more than what you'd pay for a similar journey on the European mainland booking in advance.

Book 12 weeks in advance and choose the advance singles and you can save a fortune. For example you can get 2 singles from Oxford to London using Chiltern for £5 each way depending on the time of day. Buy on the day and you're looking £30 for a return. As long as you know exactly when you want to travel you can save a fortune.

Not all routes are available so you might not be able to do this.

I use the travel lodge at Kew Bridge quite a lot, and if you pick your dates the price can be less than £25 a night (family room), it is only a short bus ride from central London, the car park there costs £6.95 for 24 hours. Just saying, works for me.

Park at Westfield, Stratford for around £10 per 24 hours then get the tube in
Is a shame... not valid on 31/12/2019 😜

Which car would that be? An electric car?

How long before the myopic do gooders realise they also poison people? Through the microscopic rubber particles from their tyres and the depleted batteries that nobody recycles because it's cheaper to dig up new heavy metals. Let alone the manufacturing process and how the energy that charges the batteries is generated and delivered.

The state herded people into a field telling them its the right on moral place to be and now is putting them to the sword because they've decided it was the wrong field without even the slightest sign of contrition.

The truth is its not sustainable for billions of ~80-100kg bags of water to be ferried around in their own personal 2 tonne metal barge. But even the do gooders can't bring themselves to use their legs :/
Stayed at TL Waterloo last year, nice hotel and great location.

Train - if you will be travelling with children it might be worth getting a Family & Friends card. £30 per year for it but reduces the cost a lot. We paid approx £130 return for 2 adults 1 child from West Wales.
So che
