About this deal

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

After lots of searching it looks like Park De Haan in Belgium which is currently under renovation will be re-opening May 2020 (hopefully will be all new and shiny).

A comfort cottage sleeping 8 (I've booked for 9 with an infant) on 24th August - 31st August and so covering bank holiday weekend comes out at 1560eur. Other weeks in August are still available. The premium cottages are 120eur extra, I didn't think it was worth it personally.

The Dover to Dunkirk ferry is approx. £120 per car of 5 and the park itself is a 45 min drive from Dunkirk.

Book through centerparcs.fr/ and it comes out 90eur cheaper than the GB website. You just have to use Chrome translate to turn it to english if you can't speak French. If you book early you also get 30eur vouchers to spend on activities.

The equivalent week in a UK centre parks is approximately £3500!!!!!!!

However, the link doesn't list this park in the options, I assume due to it not being open yet?EDIT - I have now found the park, but I am still unable to select any dates for it. Am I doing something wrong?

Very strange that it's not there to choose, it definitely was before. The deal of booking late August in Europe as compared to UK parks doesn't really change. The UK Centre Parcs are extortionate especially over the August bank holiday.

We've been here several times in the last few years in its current Sunparcs form. The big attraction is that it's so close to the beach which is absolutely beautiful. Walking distance comfortably. Miles of sand dunes.
Also it's a relatively short drive from the Eurotunnel. Will be looking to go again no doubt. Lodges are often in their own little gardens which is great in nice weather. De Haan itself is certainly not a nightlife place, but good for families. Bruges isn't far and is worth a day trip.

I went there many years ago when it was part of Sunparcs. It was pretty good then. Getting to other nearby Belgium resorts is easy, and quick.

Same here, stayed a number of times years ago when we had the Ramsgate to Ostende ferry, then a Sunparks place (part of center parcs but cheaper). Just hope if they are rebranding it to Center parcs the price doesn't rocket (edited)

Still too much! If everyone took their kids out for one week in term time and went to centre parcs instead it might change things in this country.

Not that I disagree but we live in a world with set school holidays. Going on holiday with 3 kids in school holidays is just so expensive!
