Thought I’d throw this out there. £509.20 includes 15% student discount but 10% new customer discount makes price about £540.

Is it not a pretty good price? What is the snag? Not using it to game, just home pc and a bit of photo editing.

Would appreciate a more educated viewpoint, got a 2 year old late 2015 iMac which I hate, hope this is better

Sorted
Without me having to look did you add the VAT on (as it does this once added to basket) and then take off the discount?

Edited : looked myself - cheapest I can find is pre vat is £559, inc vat £671. Then minus the discount (15% student for me) is £570

£499.22 plus VAT, less 15%. Free delivery. 3 showing in stock, no idea why link doesn’t work as I’ve double checked it. Must be Dell.

Weird , wonder why it doesn’t come up on the search by model.

I go to outlet, filter by i5, screen size , SSD, and graphics to shortlist.
Decent price though, not for me due to poor battery (worse in class according to notebook check). Voting hot though as good price.
Nice one
Will not be moved about much as it suits our home needs rather than desktop - space/cables wise. I’m assuming it can just run off power!?!
Looked long and hard at this, if you intend to play any games with it highly suggest you read reviews and forums. Appears to be a problem with thermal throttling on the graphics card.

Nothing new, maybe Minecraft by my lad. Must cope with that surely?

Depends on his needs, but if the budget is around £500-600 look around for a laptop with a 1050. Much more powerful and will be more future proof for when he gets bored of Minecraft. #Leagueoflegends

Has league of legends upgrade their game sort of like dota reborn? Last time(2 years ago) I ran it on a tablet windows(atom zx series+2 gb of ram) fine.
Bought this exact same one a couple of weeks back from the Dell Outlet for £504. It was sold as brand new (and it was). I'm pretty fussy about laptops and I'm extremely happy with mine, I was concerned about the screen, given the reviews but it's absolutely great. Not used it outside though so that may be a different story. Build quality is really good, it's nothing like the plastic cheap end laptops you can get. If pushed, I'd say the only slight downside is the battery life but, given I mostly use it at home, even this isn't an issue for me. Might be worth keeping your eyes on the outlet store in case they have these again and run a similar a similar promotion.

The only Inspiron I could find at JLP at £599 is an Inspiron 5000 series, the one in the OP is a 7000 series.
