Found these in Lowestoft Tesco along with several other beers reduced to clear. Never tried them but for under £3 they are worth a try.
Unsure if nationwide, link for info only.

I popped into Tesco Great Yarmouth on my way through, they also have a selection of beers and ciders reduced to clear. Some were different than Lowestofts selection, I guess they are clearing old stock ahead of summer branding packs?
    Pacifico is amazing.
Really hard to find here (Amazon sometimes have 12 bottles for about £18)
Doesn't need a lime adding to it either

I'll be giving them a try this evening! 🍻
Back in 2013 a local drinks shop sold pacifico, cold in the fridge for 29p a bottle. Lots of fond memories of drinking these on summer days.

    Nice beer, heat added.

I remember one of the booze outlets having piles of it around this time too! 24 bottle crates for a tenner!! An excellent summer.

Do they? It's in a brown bottle. IIRC

Still is in a brown bottle. like corona they place the lime in the neck then I guess its up to you if you have lime or not.

But the bars I went to served it with lime.

Well it only went into bottles that where clear originally because sunlight can make the beer smell a bit funky, They UV treat the glass now so it's not needed. Never needed in brown or green bottles, the fact they're serving it that way should clue you in to the fact that it's purely for the "gringos".

Best tell me Mexican friend to stop drinking it with lime then.

I guess it just goes town to personal taste, So people like it with some without. No rules to say it has to be either way.

I think if you venture outside the resorts/Cancun you'd struggle to find a bar that does it.

The point I'm making is beers bottled in brown or green glass didn't have the same problem with sunlight changing the contents. That's why they're in brown of green glass in the first place, ergo; there was never traditionally a reason to put lime in the bottles. The fact they're doing it now can only mean it's for the tourists. Your Mexican friend should've clued you in on this already.

Nah, nowhere I’ve ever been in Mexico puts a lime in this as it’s a much darker beer than Corona.
FYI - if it’s a line in the top (not pushed into the juice), it’s to prevent flies and dust ruining your beverage
