Yes, yet another Homebase deal! Spotted this and bought one in the Portsmouth store last night. It basically is a mat that protects your carpet from wheeled chairs. Its quite hard and has spikes that help secure in place on the carpet. Think it was £12 - £15 originally.

Can't find it on the HB website but its similar to this (also used this image in the deal);

Its a bit bigger than a car mat but probably not as big as one for the boot. Although it does depend on the size of your boot !
Edit : Now you've got me thinking about what else it could be used for :-)

Get ready for a world full of electric shocks if you buy one.
Thanks OP. Do you have the Barcode?

I'll dig it out when I get home. Note that the label was falling off most of them in the pile when I picked this one up.

I should also add that I'm not sure if this is nationwide or not.

Hi barcode is 9 328968 027923. It's branded Q Decor and the dimensions are 900mm X 1200mm
I bought one a while back (not from Homebase) and ended up throwing it out. It curled up a lot and became an annoyance.

Ikea do a massive one that doesn't curl for £19, if that's any help.
These are too loud and look crap.
Why not use some common sense, if you value your carpet that much, just put an off-cut over the top

Tried that, in fact a rug with a piece of hardboard under it. Worked ok but the hardboard and rug would slip off each other and now the hardboard is broken. I also quite like the smaller bit to go under the desk as it protects the carpet from my cheap socks !
Will these work on laminate?
