    General consensus is that a dual action polisher is a much safer bet as a first buy, so not to damage paint. This isn't dual action AFAIK.

    Disclaimer: I've used neither type.

    To be fair it's fine for the occasional DIY car washer who wants to apply some basic wax type product and then use this to buff off saving a lot of manual labour. It's not meant to be compared to a DA polisher which is used by enthusiasts and intermediate/pro detIlers for polish n wax but also paint correction, repairs etc.
