better off with a sports direct cheap bike over this

why??there both really crap...and cheap....
Sooner have this than a poncy bike costing 10 or 20 times more even though I can afford it, it's not the bike that makes you go faster it's how fast you peddle

Sorry to break your heart mate, I bought this for £120 last year. Utter piece of junk. Nothing about pedaling and power this bike will start rusting within weeks and it gets worst as the rust takes over insides. You will immediately start experiencing bike getting slower and slower. No amount of oiling and wd40 can help you.

Stay away save more money and buy some decent bike or go to gumtree and buy second hand bike.

Cheers!
Waste of money.

Buy used. You can find some half decent bikes on Gumtree an eBay for this sort of money.

This wouldn't last you 5 mins.

Now most employers do Cycle to Work schemes where you can have a decent bike for a few quid a week I'm surprised bikes like this still exist.
Could someone recommend some decent bikes to look for on guktree or ebay at about the £100 mark?

Last thing I want to do is avoiding buying a crappy bike new only to end up buying a crappy bike second hand.

Please help.
Thanks
Rich

It depends what you are going to use the bike for

Giant Escape, Carerra Subway and Dawes Discovery (all decent hybrids) often appear for that sort of money.
Bought one 2nd hand and it's brilliant. No problems at all, 6 gears is ample for me.
it is a hideous bike, I only bought because I was on welfare and needed transport for a couple of weeks 5 miles each way to a job, these journeys killed the bike, appalling safety standard, cheap, flimsy features and a constant need for maintenance, better off using £100 in taxi fare at least you get there safe and not in a pool of sweat.

it's simply not safe for the road and it's stupidly slow, the 6th gear didn't work unless i got off the bike and physically lifted the chain up and forced the chain with my bare hands, it's like riding on a bin bag. Don't ever waste your money on this trash. don't ever spend less than £600 on any means of transport otherwise you will live to regret it and be "saddled" with maintenance and safety issues for example one pedal completely fell off on a ride home and handlebars were loose and breaks would come loose, this how you kill yourself without knowing it. There is no shortcut or good cheap method, work for the money and pay the piper or go without.
