thats a good deal
thanks

I had one of these strimmers last year and it only lasted months - the grass got caught up in the motor and it seized up big time. Anyway, got a half price Bosch for a similar price as I paid for this, and never looked back! Luke warm from me - chap, but not the best quality.

Fully charged it never does both my gardens front and back very short time for strimming. Mower is good though but strimmer is a waste of money

slightly off topic , but i have a trimmer/ edger and the nylon cord keeps getting to short/ non existant , to which then i have to open the strimmer and pull out the cord - in the argos cat they have 2 types of line feed - bump and auto - does anyone know what that means and which is best

Or can anyone rec a good , easy to use strimmer for edging the lawn from the argos sale ?

All strimmers are crap with the line constantly snapping.
With bump feed you have to bash the bottom of the strimmer on the floor to let out more line.
With auto feed you have to switch off the strimmer to let out more line ( once it slows to a certain speed it lets out another inch of line).

Neither of these systems works reliably. When the line snaps there is not enough centifugal force to pull any further line off the spool. So you have to stop and open up the case and wind it back on the spool ( leaving the right amount dangling from the casing).
Strimming is aways very frustrating.

Auto feed is better than bump feed as you are not bashing the unit on the ground ( which obviously is not good for it)
