super cheap

Thanks great price

Is it good and worth money?

Excellent bit of kit - I bought one a few months ago at £29.99 and thought that was a bargain, this is VERY cheap and a cracking deal.

Do buy the half price Bosch accesories as they really much better quality cutters.

I've used mine, amongst other thigs, for helping to take up floorboards when rewiring, you get a really neat cut and its also great for cuttig the tongues out of tongue and groove boards. This made the job so easy and neat.

The Bosch onesv fit this, not sure about the other way roud but I would expect so. HOWEVER the Bosch cutting blades are far superior - I was really surprised with how much better they were when I tried one instead of the blades that came with the tool.

But you also get a Compact Pen 4 in 1 Pocket Screwdriver

been looking for one of these for a while and this looks a great deal. just purchased along with the half price Bosch accessories. Thanks OP and thanks Colin1961for the heads up on the Bosch accessories.

I have the mains powered Bosch equivalent and has been one of the handiest tools I have ever bought. Have reserved one of these for work where the cordless aspect will be a big plus. I don't expect power to be exceptional but at this price is a no brainer . All the similar type tools like this I have come across can use the same blades. Aldi often do a great pack of blades for about £10.

I have the Bosch 10.8v GOP. Think it's brilliant for quick jobs. Is there a link for accessories can't find them on Argos thanks.

Been looking for 1 of these at a good price for a while, got 1 reserved, cheers.

Also brilliant for cutting out socket holes in hollow/plasterboard walls. You don't get the wobble/resistance you get with a plasterboard saw and so avoid the risk of cracks appearig between boards.

I had one of these from the Argos eBay store last year and had to send it back after several months as it kept cutting out; either the battery wasn't holding its charge or some kind of over-sensitive cut out was kicking in. They verified there was a fault and refunded. I may have just been unlucky, but keep the receipt just in case!

However, I agree these type of tools are really useful and have borrowed a friend's Bosch corded one several times.

Ordered , many thnks

Many thanks op reserved one with extra blade set 1/2 price. Heat added.

any way of (coupons?) of not paying for postage, it says 'order in store to collect' on all my locals for reservation

I have a different multi tool set from Challenge xtreme - 3.6 Volt Li Ion Screwdriver/Multi Cutter/Mini Drill/Lamp which I got for £12,49 heavily discounted from 50 pounds. It's great and battery lasts for very long time - even when it's not used for few months.
I'm expecting same/better quality from this one. Reviews on argos can confirm that's a great tool.

Good price, but maybe better to wait for Aldi/Lidl to have their next offer as you can usually pick them up for £30 with their 3 year guarantee on top.

Booooooom, had 1 left at my Argos and i've reserved it! this site costs me a lot of money indeed.

Cheers OP.

Ordered thanks. Got a load of laminate to remove and this'll come in handy

Although not a fan of Challenge products in general this looks a good buy, (I have the Aldi corded version) I must say these are surprisingly handy. Cut a birds mouth in a rafter up against a wall with one, no other saw could have done that. Not too sure about using it for sanding, but they are excellent for plunge cuts, and the scraper blades work well. No need to get the ££ green one or or even the ££££ orange one, (blades for the Fein cost more than this tool)

Reserved last one at Crewe. Thanks OP (_;)

Reserved at the Manchester Fort store! Thanks OP

nice one shervin, ordered, this will come in very handy doing DIY around the house

Thank you - just reserved last one at Hempstead - been looking for one of these for a while

The corded version is only £4 more if you cant find stock or prefer not to have the hassle of batteries.

Reserved the tool,Thanks Op... but blades not in stock, If i order the blades into store will the honour the blades at half price if i took my receipt in ??

I was thinking the same thing.
Borrowed my dads corded version a while ago and I think the battery would have been flat well before I finished the job.

Accepting that cordless may be useful on "some" occasions, surely the corded version for £4 is better ?

In practical terms the corded version is much better especially when the cordles only includes one battery.

I have been thinking of getting the Aldi one at £40, but will give this a go now and see how I get on. Thanks OP.

Got one reserved, anyone got a link to the half price Bosch tools

stephen25uk - scroll down on the Argos page and you'll see the link to add both the tool and discounted blades to your trolley.

Damn,

I seem to have missed this... brought a mains powered Lidl one with 3 year warranty and have found it very useful (although the cutters have suffered a little) and was really interested in getting a portable one!

Oh well...

Plenty of cheap Bosch and type attachment tools and the likes on ebay. Wife picked mine up today and am pleased with the feel/weight of it.

Thanks again OP (_;)

Not when you are scraping artex off ceilings it isnt. The cord/lead, always gets in the way.

Agreed, but be careful with artex as some contained asbestos even as late as the 1980's I believe.
