If you have fibre or superfast adsl, bt tech have confirmed, after I asked last week, that the YT 4k FREE stream, will be broadcast without error compression via YT, so when you have the stream up and stable on Wed for the final, simply pause the FHD stream in chrome canary or beta browser, choose 4K, wait a few seconds and then restart the stream, this will be the same quality top of the pops stream, bar one, that can transpose on the YT media servers, not the fake 4k (2k) stream that is the most you can see ((mostly)) without YT red subscription

I thought the deal BT Sports have with UEFA was the same as previous years in that they must show at least one game in each round, live & free?

Basically certain sporting events have to be shown on 'free to air' TV and the European Finals are included in these, so it doesn't matter who the broadcaster is they have to adhere to it.

Such narrow-mindedness when I am trying to be helpful! No, I do not work for BT, but I speak of my own experience. I will reiterate that if your box is faulty and cannot be fixed remotely, as long as you are in contract they will send an engineer to fix or replace (edited)

The TV company have to make the final freely available to the public. Since BT isn't available on all platforms, they make it available on YouTube rather than letting another provider show it.iDealYou8 m ago

crappy loophole then, did the people writing up the contract not realise that there was an internet escape clause for bt so they didnt need to show it on free to air tv
im so damn sick of all these powerful people & corporations finding loopholes so they can avoid doing the right thing
Part of the BT deal was having to show a certain number of free games including the finals. This has always been the case.
I refuse to buy bt sports as i think sky and it should show it. I'm a Liverpool supporter but haven't seen any games this season. Actually haven't watched CL since the last itv final.
