Chance to get Centre Court Tickets At Wimbledon for the next day every evening at 8.30pm on ticketmaster

Found 20th Jun 2010Made hot 21st Jun 2010
its thought that the only way to get centre court tickets at wimbledon is to:

a) get drawn from a ballot
or
b) pay for extremely high priced tickets from ebay/tickettouts

HOWEVER...

Not many people know this but, 500 Centre Court Tickets for wimbledon are on sale to the general public every evening at 8.30pm for £45.10 per ticket!!! (prices do rise as it goes further into the tournament)

you are buying tickets for the next days play so e.g

sunday 20th 8.30pm - buying tickets for monday 21st centre court
monday 21st 8.30pm - buying tickets for tuesday 22nd centre court

The trick is to keep refreshing the page just before 8.30pm until the screen shows that tickets are available, then go ahead and get your tickets for next days centre court schedule!!

You have to be fast if you want the tickets as they sell like hotcakes! They are on sale every night for 2 weeks so if at first you dont succeed...try,try again!!

i went last year with my friend and its a great day out, the seats are at the back but still a great view and well worth the money in my opinion!

centre court tickets also allow you to watch courts 3-19 for free!! if you do decide to try it good luck! Please post in this thread if you do manage to get tickets through ticketmaster youll have a great time!

edit: there is also a chance to get the day after tomorrows court play everyday at 12pm on ticketmaster. these tickets are a tad more expensive at £57.10 but will be much closer to the action.

so if you buy these on monday, you will get tickets for wednesdays wimbledon, buy on tuesday for thursdays wimbledon etc etc (Thanks to Barky for pointing this out)

It was a joke!

btw. Less chance of you getting tickets now (as it's on HUKD)

putting this on here = the only avenue left is ebay.

are tickets to semi finals and finals also available this way or is that only through ballot ?

I thought people could still queue overnight for daily CENTRE COURT tickets at Wimbledon itself. There used to be people camping out and stewards overseeing it all. All part of the experience.

Or am I thinking that the traditional way of doing things has been completely wiped out ?

Cold - Still too expensive for Bend Over Britain

Centre Court - US Open - $40 - Anytime until sellout
Centre Court - AUS Open $60 AUD - Anytime sellout
Centre Court - Rip Off Wimbledon £45 - limited number

lol

hey barky, thats correct ive just gone on and checked now!!

shall i add it to the op or would you like to make the deal yourself??

If you are reading this now then get onto ticketmaster, login, have your billing information already filled in to save time, and at around 11.58ish keep refreshing your page until

"there are no tickets for sale" changes to a page where you can select tickets.....good luck! if you dont get them now then log on again tonight for the 8.30pm tickets!!!

Yeah, that probably wasn't too clever to post this on this site, gotta agree with the above, chances of ever getting them, now practically zero.

well i posted a deal a long time ago that went against the spirit of this site and i think this deal is the opposite, agreed, ive significantly lowered my chance of getting tickets now for this years Wimbledon, but on the other hand ive potentially helped out some Hukders into getting tickets they never thought were possible to get....balancing out that karma eh?!

anyway good luck to anyone trying it! if you do manage to get tickets please do let us know in the thread!

Good deal if you can get !

Thanks for that I just have to find a bus which will take me to NY for the US open, assuming the bus is less than £21 of course otherwise it wont be a bargain anymore. :whistling:

Not sure the price listed in the OP is correct - tickets are coming up as £57.20 for me ???

Nothing available though.

the daily mirror often do national express £1 deals, it is possible that volcanic ash might cause a diverted route between leeds and london, via flushing meadows

happy for you to add to the op m8-its just an extra detail I noticed-its your deal so you should post it.

I always wanted to go to Wimbledon! Although it's a bit of a trek from Bristol!!! Thanks for the tip OP. Have some rep!

how many can we buy?

Seems a hot deal to me thanks OP have some heat.

Does anyone know how many tickets you are allowed to purchase?

Nice deal, OP! What's the difference between Reserved and Return tickets? Event starts at 10:30 each day, so does that mean only one ticket is needed for all matches of the day?

coolestaj;8884304

Max of 2 per booking.

Reserved tickets are the ones they have reserved for this particular sale, they are in the back rows of Centre Court.

Return tickets are tickets which have been balloted and have been returned, so these could be anywhere in the stadium.

A centre Court ticket gains you entry to the ground and to all matches on that court. Gates open at 10:30 although play does not start until noon on the outside courts.

Returned tickets are those returned by people who won the tickets in the ballot, but no longer want them. Thus, the seats could be anywhere within the stadium. Reserved tickets are those that Ticketmaster has reserved and are likely to be towards the back of the statidum.

And, yes, one ticket will get you in for the whole day's play.

I can see on that website that they advertise that tickets are sold at midday as well as at 8:30.

Did anyone try to get tickets at 12 today? I can't see it advertised on ticketmaster that they are selling them at 12.:?

It's almost impossible to get tickets through this system, I have tried in previous years night after night, partially just to see what the chances were as I don't live that close to London, but probably would have gone if I had been lucky, but to no avail, so I would imagine that them being on HUKD wouldn't make that much of a difference.

I think you deserve a pat on teh back for this - completely in spirit of site, you are giving others the chance to get these tickets at the cost of reducing your own chance.

How some can moan that there will now be a lesser chance of getting the tickets is beyond me - there is still the same number of tickets, for those who did not know about the scheme they now have a chance of getting a ticket.

The only ones I would expect to moan are those who knew about it, but kept it to themselves to avoid their chance of getting tickets being reduced - understandable but contrary to the spirit of the site?

Thanks for this, definitely deserve heat & rep!

Agree and well done to the OP.

I always thought that anybody who was interested in Wimbledon would have known about the ticketmaster tickets. I never even thought about posting it on here though as it is not really a deal so to speak.

Would be interesting to know if anyone did manage to get tickets though ..... Good Luck to all. ;-)

Managed to get two tickets .........
Thanks for the post much appreciated

i guess so mate, check your confirmation email and make sure you bring all of the things they tell you to bring e.g photo id etc

i have never done the 12pm one before just the 8.30pm one and on that one you print out your own tickets.

Awwww, brilliant.

At least we now know it is possible to get tickets.

Where are your seats, which row?

Doubt your tickets will have your name on them, they just won't release them to you unless you are the person that ordered them on the net.

i thought u werent able to get tix til 8.30?

I have tried this for the last few years and tickets are few and far between, you have to be extremely lucky to get 2 together.
Generally none available

Original Poster

ok good luck to anyone trying tonight at 8.30

remember to keep refreshing from about 8.28pm..........you have more chance of getting tickets if you have signed up to ticketmaster previously so that you dont have to type in all of your card details which takes a while.

Gentlemen's Singles - 1st Round
