Used to be great fragrance, not anymore after reformulation, just name.

The Eau Extreme is better if you haven’t tried it and want something similar but with the notes tuned differently
Very common and boring scent it just smells like any sports shower gel or dioderant

I have the extreme (bought from the chanel store on Regent street so the real deal) yet weirdly the EDT stays stronger for longer on my skin, goes to show how individual scents are to skin types.

The extreme and this are two completely different fragrances

Wouldn't say they are completely different, they have very similar notes at all 3 levels, just tuned differently as someone else mentioned above, you definitely know one is an offshoot of the other. That aside extreme is eau de parfum, the other is EDT, EDP should last longer than EDT, on my skin for this specifically it doesn't. Also for a sport fragrance for me it performs better in cold rather than warm weather. That aside I do love the smell of it.
