Chanel at Boots buy 3 items get £10 in points + code for 10% off

Found 9th Dec 2013
Ok this is my 1st attempt at posting a deal so be kind.

I went on the Boots site to order some Chanel products and noticed the £10 worth of points when 3 items are purchased.I know its for all premium fragrances, but rarely is Chanel in offers.

Went through quidco and put in code LPQCOQ3 for a 10% discount and up to 8% cashback.
Forgot to mention that you need to spend £80 or more for the 10% to work, but that should be easy if you are buying Chanel products!.

Ive saved about £20 doing this.

Hope it helps some people

Could you use FRAF45 as well?

This is excellent, as you say channel is never in any sort of promotional deal. Thanks

great deal

I'm thinking of getting some No.5 Parfum for the missus. £87.50 quid for only 7.5ml! Is the bottle itself really tiny? I worry that something that small wouldn't make a good gift but even a 15ml bottle seems quite small?

Great deal thanks

That's why you order the Chanel no 5 Eau De Toilette. More for your money and just as nice :-)

I think Parfum is the original/classic right? I'm just trying to work out how big the physical bottle is as I haven't had any time to go into a shop.

It's not a spray its the stuff you dab on and for that reason it last longer and it last longer, if someone bought me it i would love them forever! Really is a nice perfum

Swings and roundabouts though coolamigo - parfum you need a tiny dab and it will last hours and hours, the notes deepening over time... eau de toilette you need a significant amount more and it will fade away much quicker.

I like both, depending on what I'm going to do

As far as a gift is concerned, the parfum is true luxury for the people who appreciate the difference, so it kinda depends on the recipient as to what would be the best one to buy.

Not sure if it helps as it's for a gift, but one way to ensure you get genuine Chanel parfum (pure perfume), and a decent amount, is to buy tester bottles from ebay.

Ebay UK seems to have restrictions on testers but I have Allure, Allure Sensuelle, Chance and No5 in tester bottles (35ml) that all have engravings on the glass,, a metal engraved plate on the bottom (on the Chanel Chance bottle). I got most from the US, one from France. They all have atomisers, too, not caps that "daub" on your skin (I have a 7.5ml parfum bottle with a stopper cap, and I dropped it :().

Nice idea.Do any shops sell testers? They all should have one!

Thanks everyone, think I might get Parfum then. Is this a good deal for that? Although I think getting 3 bottles might be too much! Is no5 normally not discounted?

Missus doesn't normally wear perfume (I have nose problems so cant smell) so I don't know anything about perfume...

You don't have to purchase just perfume. Treat her to some cosmetics to go with the perfume. She's worth it (_;)

how do you know it's genuine on eBay though? Loads of tricksters out there

Good find but I find many of Boots perfumes overpriced.
Dolce & Gabbana, the One perfume, 75ml is £71 in Boots.. Same item and size in many places is £57.

I agree with your thoughts on ebay as an unscrupulous seller tried to sting me recently with a very poor fake Miss Dior EDP (stopper cap was too tight, atomiser fell off, didn't smell anything like the authentic Miss Dior I had, label was on wonky (!) etc...). Luckily I read Basenotes and Fragrantica and I also found a Youtube link showing how to spot a dupe MD.

It's generally accepted that buying Chanel testers (obviously not stock photo listings) or partially used bottles (bit more dodgy option) is the safest way to buy Chanel on ebay. When you sniff the real parfum you will have no doubt.

Re authenticity, here's some links for those buying retail Chanel scents: basenotes.net/thr…l=1
