sorted byBasically: high end, mid range, low end.
This is because of the concentration of oils in each bottle. Parfum being the highest end because of the higher concentration of oils within that bottle lasting much longer (5-8 hours). EDT is diluted a lot and only lasts for 1-2 hours before the scent starts to fade and no longer smells of what it supposed to be.
Not sure why people say they prefer this or that. If it’s the same name and brand, it’s basically the same smell but different concentration of oils in each one.
You pay what you get, depending how long you want to fragrance to last.
I have EDP’s that have terrible performance over EDTs.
In terms of getting what you pay for - price doesn’t equal longevity
I have owned both and EDT had better projection and longevity.
Like others have said though...mileage may vary.
