Their Facebook posts say they do some suits but it’s complicated by length of trousers etc..
Great heads up and not wishing to rain on anyone's parade, but maybe they could offer free condoms as well. That way the prom night has a happy ending and not unwanted consequences. Just my opinion and not wishing to set off a wider debate or flaming war.

Quite a few years ago I’m afraid at least as far as proms are concerned.

Men and suits?

Perhaps you should start a charity to offer suits for young men, but then again it's a lot easier to just complain isn't it
I read the title wrong, gutted
Cannot think of a worse use for charity than this.
I am pretty sure all schools had some form of leaving do I certainly did. They where not call proms and your turned up in smart casual wear. Actually if I recall we had quite a few school discos over the years. So they call them proms now and make more of an event of it so what it is only a bit of fun.

You only live once you might as well enjoy it !!!
This reminds me of that one episode of Sex Education
Not an event I recognise, is Prom an acronym for something? How old are these 'Ladies' and what about the 'Men'.

Plenty more deserving outlets for charitable donations out there. Children starving/freezing/dying through illness. But by all means a good night out is a great priority

are u really that petty? yes theres loads of kids suffering all the things you have stated but i dont think a prom dress is gonna address their needs!! kids from low income families suffer too and this is a great idea which my daughter wants to donate her prom dress too so someone more disadvantaged than her gets to experience prom, its a big event for teens now and u know what let them enjoy it

I'd love to do a survey on all these "low income families" and see how many have a 50 inch flat screen on the wall and an iPhone each. But that's a much wider debate. Have a great day

Suffer? From a lack of 'prom'? Seriously ?
I grew up in a low income family and I didn't go to the school discos. But not once did I ever cry that there wasn't a charity helping me out.
People can obviously donate to whatever charity they choose but some perspective on what constitutes a real problem would be nice.

the prom is now a big deal in kids school life you dont have to like it or see it as a real problem but you know what the fact that a charity are offering this service shows there is a need/want for it! just because you didnt do something as a kid doesnt mean that every kid has to be like you!

The charity are offering because of overprotective parents with no perspective.
I pity the little snowflakes when they have to face the scary big bad world with real problems that they are ill-prepared for.

why does this bother you so much? is it triggering something?
This thread is bringing out more passion than Brexit....more entertaining though.

It's triggering my despair at today's society
