Cheap Baguettes at Greggs!

Found 18th Apr 2012
Just been into Gregg's and they've started doing some really cheap Baguettes ranging from £1 - £1.50. Just enjoyed a really nice Chicken Tandoori for £1.50, others I recall were

Cheese £1
Egg £1.25
Chicken Mayo £1.25
Ham and Coleslaw £1.25

Plus quite a few others, they seemed quite nice.

The PoundBakery has also started doing baguettes which were OK but these have better quality to them.

A bit like the two pasties for 99p, it might only be in towns with direct competition from a Pound Bakery

Also a meal deal with one of the baguettes was £2.99 including a drink and crisps, didn't seem really worth it to me

Been this price for a few weeks, I believe. I've seen the offer in 3 or 4 places and I don't think any have a "pound bakery" nearby.

They have put them up by 25 p in a fortnight.

Why is everyone trying to CON people out of their money in a recession
why does everything i get from greggs seem to be shrinking in size ?

Get a grip. If you dont like it, dont buy.
Cheers Boris, both comment gave me a giggle.
Greggs are a Con.

Every Saturday for the past month ive gone to Greggs on the way to Snooker to get a Ham and Cheese Baguette.

It started at £2.05. every week its the same price on the sign yet its getting slightly more expensive. last few weeks its been £2,20. Im not gunna stand there and moan about 15p for 10mins but **** me. Change the price sign ffs.
There's more fat in greggs products than there is in a bag of Chips which fill you up for longer and in most cases save you money if you generally buy two items from Greggs
