These are a bargain and cost £5+ and up to £8.99 each for a similar height at all the plant sites I looked at anyway and doesn't include postage.

They are slow growing so easy to manage.

Choose from Elwoodii, Ellwood’s Empire or Snow White
Height (cm): 30 - 35
Pot size Ø (cm): 11

I wouldn't plant conifers anywhere - bloody things'll have your fences down, your foundations up and your drains apart.

if you keep them in a pot, they'll grow slowly and be much more manageable. I've had a small conifer in a pot now for 2 years, it's grown approx 2" - I definately wouldn't plant them straight into the ground though, the roots will take over
Was looking for some to put in pots by the front door, these look like they'll do the job, cheers.
Worst thing to plant in the world. Will steal all the light, grow massive & nightmare to remove. Stay away

Conifers seem to divide people somewhat.
In some parts of the county, you see nothing but conifers, yet in others, it's concrete and tree-stumps.

I like the year-round greenery instead of a a bleak winter looking at empty branches.
Nice in wide pots to allow a 6 foot growth, then keep them at that height for a natural barrier, home for pollenating insects and something to cover up drab scenery.
Cold - will cost you hundreds of pounds to fell in a few years time!

Apart from Ellwoodii which grows to 20ft tall, the other 2 are basically a dwarf variety.

Really?? 1.2mmax. height for the Ellwoods Empire. Do you live in a wendy house?
Was thinking of getting some myself, but i bought conifers years ago for in pots in front of house and they grew to about 2ft but they all died one by one with windburn i presume, but also planted two in the back garden thinking they would be the same size, one grew to about 8ft, i have just sawn it down and removed it, because it was in the wrong place for its size and getting out of control., the other is HUGE about 20ft or more now, its seems to grow about 3ft every year, But i was sold them as dwarf conifers !

Good hedging material, keep 'em under control with a hedge cutter
Cheers OP was thinking of something to make a nice hedgerow for the front garden.
If you intend to buy, be quick - Lidl don't water any of their plants.
