Well let's see how this goes, it's a new desktop complete with Windows 10, wifi, DVD recorder for £104.99. Sure it's an old 4th gen core series pentium but if you don't fancy buying a second hand desktop (which will no doubt have a better CPU) then this might fit the bill.
Viglen! Haven't heard of that name in such a long time. I remember Gateway too.
I have very similar specs (same CPU at least) in my HTPC it plays 1080p video flawlessly. I upgraded to GT1030 GPU and it now passes Blu Ray quality audio (Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD MA) to my receiver. It built it myself about 3 years ago and is still working well (and cost about double WITHOUT windows! )

... Another possible use, especially as the case is not massive in this unit.

TL;DR... Not a bad price for a media player/streaming box!
Cheap to upgrade the CPU as well.
Featuring an integrated toastie maker, grill, and fan oven...
Will this allow me to run Minesweeper on max settings?

Ive scrapped using a PC as a HTPC, DRM screwed that over. You need either >kaby or try your luck with a >1050ti to have any chance of watching legit 4k content. (both of which really are not worth buying at the best of times, let alone just for a HTPC).. Thats if you can get past the software limitations.
Farce doesnt start to cover it.
The fact its easier to copy and watch than just watch the original is beyond a joke.

No, just the desktop computer,

I suppose if you're happy with 240x320 resolution and 15 FPS you might be in luck

I honestly don't know but I would not buy this for gaming, other than very old games.

I've just dug out an old G3258 machine and it's decent for console emulation up to GameCube using the iGPU.

I'm not in the 4K world yet (my 2014 48" Samsung TV is still working!), but an upgrade to my HTPC may be needed if I ever replace the TV.

The level of spec in this PC is fine for my usage... I even use it for iPlayer/Netflix/Now TV and Amazon... Even though I have a fire stick and a Now TV roku device... The buffering on them from over heating (I think it's this anyway) is a deal breaker, so I don't use them, hehe. Add to that my TV apps are no longer supported, so they fail periodically too.

I put Kodi on my pentium machine and it just works (no dodgy add ons, but some files on the 3tb drive may have "had a trip on a ship" before coming to me ) it plays discs fine too - to be fair I only use it to watch the few Region A Blu Ray's I have. I use a standalone player for UK discs.

You could get an android box and get around 80-90% the same functionality, and it'll be more 'neat' in the living room... For the price this is an option for some, or at least a HTPC of some type. A fully functional Windows PC in the living room can have a few uses!
Thanks, bought for my parents.

Isn't the G3258 the sought after CPU because it overclocks quite well? Fair bit of power you have there. Ideal use in emulation
All gone now.

It was a special edition, but it's all at stock in a tiny ITX case. Made as a low power micro pc really. I'm now eyeing up the Athlon 3000g in a Deskmini A300.

Yep. Didn't Time buy Tiny when they got into trouble? Now Times gone too.

Pentium 2. that was cutting edge back in the day. remember the old amd 486dx4 trying to compete the first Intel/cyrix586
My first one was a 386 sx16, though I used an 8088 and a 286 at work. The DX4-100 was but a dream to me, my neighbour had a DX2-66, flash git.

With a little bit of funding from AMD, yes!
