wooof. That's some heat there.
I need 22nd Oct-5 Nov if anyone finds anything reasonable please point me in the right direction
nice price tempted but been too many times
Link doesn't work?
Virgin nothing as good as they were after merging with DELTA. Better off keeping an eye open for a good deal from Thomson who fly to Florida with Dreamliner planes which are vastly superior to Virgins stock. You can typically get a price of under 300 for these dates nearer the date itself with Thomson
What price would you expect to pay in August?

Nothing like this price, I think you will be lucky to get £700 per adult likely closer to £1000 at the moment for economy, I've just spent around £3800 for direct out and PE back indirect from London.

Thomson only fly to sanford, which is a.longer transfer/drive/taxi. then you have to add your luggage as their price is before any 'extras'. it works out more in the end. I agree better planes but not better price.

Ahh really. We have always been in April/May but I would love to go at Halloween. Are the parks quite busy?

we always go at the start of October for 2 weeks, we catch the Halloween horror nights it's about 5-25 min queues through the week at universal and weather is about 28-32. it's perfect for us.

Thank you for replying. I love hearing peoples views on Florida. Who do you fly with? I have had a look at Norweigan but they don't fly from Manchester and it would be too much hassle for us to get to Gatwick.
We go every year in October, always the last 2 weeks. Sometimes we catch Halloween sometimes not. Parks are great at this time of year - but depending on your ages different parks are best. Weather not always ultra hot but usually very pleasant. Trick is to watch the flight prices regularly, do your research so that you know a good price when you see it and you can book it straight away. Caught a very good price just before Christmas for the last 2 weeks in October just £348 return booked it then it was gone the next day, so it is definitely possible to find a good price. Watch out for the prices from Dublin returning into BHX or Manchester - you can sometimes save £100. It all depends on whether you would have had to book a hotel in the U.K. the night before your flight
better book quick before Trump bans flights from Socialist countries

totally agree with you, I was so impressed with them and the Dreamliner and saved a lot of money, flying into Sanford was also much easier, quicker and far less crowded
Bought the same flights for £348 last week, always been very happy with Virgin to Orlando flights

Sanford is a far simpler airport to navigate through than Orlando international. Done both many times and prefer Sanford, transfer is not that much longer 10-20 mins, depending where you staying
Check out Skyscanner flying from Dublin-Orlando-Heathrow. you need to get to Dublin (£15 Ryanair + bags) but you can save a fortune. I saw it for £314 earlier this month, with BA, while trying to book but got £335 return with Delta/Virgin. It won't suit everyone as its a bit of messing about but if you are on a budget it could help.

I managed to fly into Daytona Beach last July for £400 each from Manchester with Virgin. Couldn't not book it at that price!

Thank you so much. You have really helped and given great ideas. Where did you see the flights you have just booked? Do you book your own villa? If so would you say pool heat is needed in October? Our daughter is 7years old and I would love to take her again.

I took my boys last year. They were 9 and 11. Youngest tall enough to do all the rides unaided as now tall enough. We used a plan to navigate strategically around each park. It sounded not fun on paper but the only day we didn't follow the plan we ended up in longer queues, much to my boys annoyance. Amazing to see so many small children all asleep in push chairs most afternoons, even whilst watching the parades. I can see why people go with really young ones but I'm glad we waited. My boys really appreciated everything about the holiday.

We did 12 days straight at theme parks using the water parks as rest/shopping days. Sounds tiring but we had so much fun that never became an issue.

We stayed in a villa about 15 mins from Disney. We had a pool, not heated, and my boys loved it. It did feel cold when I dipped my fingers in - I chickened out of getting in!

It's not a cheap holiday overall but we had an incredible time as a family. So much so we might go back next year once the bank balance has recovered.
There's a lot more to Florida than the theme parks!

Go in early spring and tour the state. Lovely weather (unlike summer), lots of wildlife in the national parks, drive down The Keys, etc., etc.

I know what you mean about Gatwick. None of the airports in the North fly to Gatwick, they all go to Heathrow.
By the time you worked out the costs of getting from Heathrow to Gatwick (and back again), you rarely save any money and the little you do save isn't worth all the hassle.
This is what stopped me collecting Avios. The only availability, to places that interested me, departed from Gatwick.

By the way, beginning of May is the best time of year to go to Florida. Great weather and less busy (not just theme parks, but restaurants, etc)
I went in may last year but never again. Was far too hot and humid!
We have been to Florida 3 times - once in late May/June - very hot! Last time in October half term as school has 2 weeks off - one slightly chilly day but went shopping so no problem - the weather other than that was perfect.

Going again this year and once again booking independently. Booked flights from Manchester with Thomson (last time flew with Virgin but in my view not worth paying the extra they charge) - paid £3200 for 4 which some may think expensive but I wasn't prepared to gamble and wait for price drop.

Booked villa and am not this time paying to heat pool (some include this anyway) as last time wasn't overly used as too busy out and about.

Your daughter will be blown away by Florida as will you be if you have not been before.
Still available ? Can't seem to find them for that price, comes up for over 400
Trump says I am not welcomed, so..............
I'll just take my kids to Alton Towers.
The best place I have ever been and try to go every year but it's so expensive . Get to discovery cove!!! It's incredible
Just a face like a slapped **** when you have to return to the UK back to reality
Has anyone travelled at the end of March, would you recommend weather wise

He's not the President, just ignore him. Otherwise Alton Towers is the closest you'll get to an American theme park in the UK well worth a few days.
good price. but, not really a bargain. I had been to Orlando twice from Gatwick last 3 years on Virgin. I always managed to get under £320 return in Jun/July on Sale.
October is great time to go. Perfect weather not too hot and quieter and cheaper. Went thomson dreamliner got it 250 last minute. Always like that tome of year tried other times and not enjoyed as much. You can hit food and wine festival at epcot plus holloween nights which is amazing.

Can't believe any sane person listens to Donald Trump and his rants - don't think he'll ever be president with views like that.

If you get chance go to Florida you can't beat it.
