Cheap Disposable Barbecue - 93p @ ASDA

Found 12th May 2008Made hot 12th May 2008
Went into Asda saturday and they are selling cheap round disposable BBQ's. Think they are for the upcoming Euro's as they have footballs all over them. There pretty good and state 1-1 1/2 hours burning time, but we got at least 2+ hours out of it.

This was in Asda Manchester but all stores are going to be selling them according to the checkout chick. Not sure about online though.

93p is standard price and not a special offer.

Might not be as good as some of the dearer ones, but for the money can't complain

Struggling to find a pic online so if you can find it please feel free to add

What's the environmental damage with these compared to a normal bbq? Thats not an argument, the deal is hot, but i'm just wondering with so many factors on both sides, which one is worse?

The lidl ones are available now too

i dont see the point in buying these a decent proper BBQ only costs £8 in Wilkinsons.

wilkinsonplus.com/inv…140

and the charcoal brickettes are only £1.99 for a 3kg bag.

wilkinsonplus.com/inv…040

with the 3kg bag you will get 2 Burns out if it after the initial layout for the BBQ it only costs £1.00 to light the thing and cook and the results will be better.

you can not be serious??

great deal

We bought one of those and it didn't work. My poor husband had to go out and get me another one. Think he was too scared not to (38 weeks pregnant!). Hot, if they work, otherwise they just cost you more.

Good price for something that is only meant for a few bits on a hot day, more economic in the long run to buy a cheap bbq and the charcoal to go with it. And those asda burgers are lovely, grab them and stash em before they raise the price, like they did with their tasty sausages.( 8 sausages for £1 amazingly nice (were 2 packs for 1.50 then 2.50 ) and their own burgers in a red box 4 quarter pounders for 99p bloody lovely again))

As I stated before on another bbq thread these are ideal if you've a veggie round for a bbq and its not really fair to cook there stuff on a bbq that your cooking the good stuff on...the meat!!!

Lmao, I thought exactly the same thing. Got anymore of these hilarious pictures?

Be aware that not all Asda stores have these! I had to quiz customer service because my local store only had the £2-something disposable BBQs. They knew about these 93p BBQs, but they simply didn't receive any.

Who asks a veggie to a barbecue?

They turn up in all sorts of places!!!

How long does the hundreds of thousands of waste containers from this product take to degrade in the landfills....

hotukdeals.com/ite…5p/

Asda double standards going for the publicity vote again..

Walmart/Asda not giving away our carrier bags we all love to use at home to recycle anymore...

Asda are charging 5p a bag from next week... Boycott them...... Sainsburys give free biodegradable bags.

thats cause there new, like I said, there for the Euro's so there not promoting yet, probably just the bigger stores at the mo, until they have enough stock in, but the woman said they will be available nationwide soon. Spoke to my local ASDA this evening (Stafford) and they have just got them in, so they will be everywhere soon

great for the beach... mmm uncooked burger in sandy bun! gotta love summer
