Tesco will give you a voucher back for nearly £6 when you buy Turner Rd Merlot or Chardonnay in the £10 Finest meal deal and submit your voucher to Price Check online. Making your meal deal + wine cost merely £4.

Credit to Legendmum on MSE for finding this deal.

1. Buy the £10 Finest meal deal tesco.com/gro…444

2. Make sure the wine you choose is either Turner Rd Merlot or Chardonnay

3. Check your receipt in store to make sure the meal deal has gone through as £10 - if not, go to CS and claim back double the difference there and then.

4. Submit receipt to Price Check tescopricecheck.com/Pri…spx

5. Next day (usually by noon) either get an email with your voucher for £6 or resubmit to Price Check which will also trigger the same voucher.

Shame on you for not knowing this!

Cos, Tesco give you the difference back if your item is cheaper elsewhere. The wine is apparently £9.99 in Tesco and to be bought as part of their £10 meal deal. However the wine is £4.06 in asda, so if you submit your receipt to the Tesco price check website, then you get £6 back as that's what the difference is. Good find.

Have you actually done this and can we see the receipts/vouchers?

You've actually done this? IME Tesco are very good at returning items as N/A on their price check thing so it's a gamble that they actually match all or any of them.

Too much of a palaver.

Yes - this mechanic has been confirmed and the Turner Rd Merlot or Chardonnay will give you a £5.94 voucher next day. So you get Starter + Main Course + Dessert + Wine for £4.06. That lot could easily have a headline price of about £20. tinyurl.com/3bo…e9b

heat added,

not difficult to do at all so all the cold pressers should give it a try to test just how "difficult" it isnt

Original Poster

Yes - amazing how you wouldn't like a deal where you get the Starter + Main + Dessert + Good Wine for £4 instead of £10 (which was a pretty good price anyway) ;-)

It's an age thing!. But i get it now, i think. Thanks

Interesting, thanks.

Thanks for the credit a1cat! Got my vouchers back this mornign bought 2 meal deals last night!

Was that at the same time? They don't have some crappy rule about 1 item or anything? I'm heading there at lunchtime, so will prob buy 2 if you get both refunded.

worked a treat thanks

Neither wine available in stafford, they seem to have Ohio instead.

You need to look for the Turner Rd wine in the wine aisle.

Just did exactly that in my local - yes, Tesco had hidden the wine away from the meal deal section - and it all scanned through at £10 for the meal deal.

Damnit! Didn't look at the wine aisle, just the meal deal area. Is the chardonnay a Turner too? Also, do the SELs say its in the offer or did you just hope?

Original Poster

Yes.

SELs do not help but included brands are online

This works a treat.

Just like to say I was the one who originally posted this on the 1 day only dtd thread at MSE and can confirm that it works (although it will be DTD rather than just RTD for me so Tesco paying me 2 quid to drink wine and eat food )

m1chaels if you want to be pedantic fine! I posted the possibility of a glitch before you confirmed it if you really want to be pedantic the you can always check our post history on MSE! Either way the glitch works and is a bargain! Got my dinner on the go now!

All i can see in terms is a £20 limit per receipt and £100 per household per month.

Original Poster

Yep you can buy 3 x £10 deals at a time & generate a c.£18 voucher.

Original Poster

Ha ha!

Over @ MSE we get it!

We're making munny you're debating how to make a computer @ home lol

Original Poster

Bet you didn't get DTD either where we typically made enough to buy a new top range computer every day lol

Could it be because we are a lot smarter over there than you lot are here?

I just went to the Old Kent Road branch and they said that they're not doing the meal deal. BOOOO!

Last time I read through the MSE forums it was all benefits cheats working out how to screw more money from the government so they don't have to work. If a worthwhile deal appears at MSE it always makes its way here anyway.

I posted a deal recently for cheese and it has nearly hit 1000 degrees. In my opinion this is a much better deal. A bottle of wine at the cheapest Asda price, rather than the rip-off Tesco price which means you only pay 1p for up to about £12 of food

I've just bought the deal and put my details into pricecheck. I've been informed that I'll be contacted 'within the next 36 hours'. is this normal and how long will it take?

yeah, that's normal, sometimes you get it the next day and sometimes it takes a bit longer. it seems to be slower at the weekends.

Big thanks have done this twice now and had two vouchers back for just under £18, I bought 3 meals each time. It means that my £32 shop yesterday was totally free :))

Waiting on today's voucher and heading back for more as it all freezes and the wine, well that's in with my mini bottles being stored for lots of bbqs and partys this summer.

I love that Tescos are stupid, I love more that people work the deals and share.

Have done this, but am worried tesco will just N/A the price check. Anyone suffered this so far?

Still can't believe this got no heat!

Deal doesn't seem to be available in either of the 2 stores nearest me...

The £10 meal deal?

I've still not received my voucher that was entered into the website. Is this usual and what can I do to find out what's going on?
