Found 10th Jan 2015
I have booked some brilliant flights with Monach. Manchester to Hurghada 12th June 2015 - 19th June (1 week). For a family of 3, 1 adult 2 children and impressive £499 (£166 each, I think it's the children's flights that are very cheap.) There are some fabulously cheap apartments or villas in El Gouna to make your holiday a beautiful one!... Go on spoil yourself, I couldn't recommend a better place to Holiday..

LOL @ the comment above... No better place to holiday? Do you ever read the news?!

I'm sorry 'LOL' I'm not sure what that means? You obviously don't have much of a vocabulary or read the news with that thing you have just wrote. Ha ha! Oh dear, climb back under your rock.

Let's just clarify things guys, for £166 each. There is no better place to holiday some people obviously can't read.

I've been to Hurghada and it's great! Heat

There's a lot in the news, but I suspect you are referring to the conflict in the middle east / ISIS and so on..

The UK Government is stating that the tourist area's of Egypt are safe;

So it seems fairly safe, and if that isn't safe enough for you - i'm sure you know that the UK is also at 'severe' level of terrorist attacks, that means its highly likely an attack will happen. This level has been at this state for at least the past few months, not just because of France / Pakistan / Australia recent attacks.

CDR - hit the nail on the head.

I suppose you have nothing more relevant to detail, other than picking fault with someone's vocab...

Says a lot about you really, doesn't it?

That's rhetorical.

And as a little FYI, a lot of resorts are advising travelers to stay within the resort at all times, unless accompanied by someone who has knowledge of the area. Hardly a 'holiday' and a good way of experiencing other cultures if you just have to sit in a hotel for the duration of this apparent 'holiday'.

is travel to Cairo from sharm by coach still ok or not advisable at the moment?

El Gouna is fabulous and very secure. It's easy to forget how big a country Egypt is and there have been no problems at all on the Sinai peninsula (Sharm, Dahab etc) or near the Southern resort towns around Hurghada and Marsa Alam. All of these tourist areas are 6 hours plus by road from Cairo.
Conversely, even loving Egypt as I do I probably wouldn't want to do more than transit through Cairo or the north coast towns like Alexandria at the moment.
