Thanks for pointing that out Mr Trebs.

I would like to make you aware that the quality of meat cannot be compared across these supermarkets.

Morrison's is way superior.

Please remember that Tesco is 'Supermarket x'. And Lidl's meat is genetically modified.

Btw, I know a dodgy little Chinese shop that does it for £8 per kg.

Just my 2 pence worth.

Thanks for your input anyway, please do not met this discourage you from further comments.

With kindest regards.

i was just going to quote your very words, some people much prefer morrison's own meat towards others so it will be a deal for them.

Tesco may well be "supermarket x" but that problem concerned pork and not lamb as you have posted, unless you think the pork has been genetically modified into lamb.
Also not sure why you point out Lidl`s meat is genetically modified, the two supermarkets I mentioned being Tesco and Aldi. though Lidl is also cheaper than your "deal".
Just for clarity can you point out the evidence stating the meat is GM at Lidl.
Not very impressed with Morrisons. Popped in earlier today to get a chicken or beef. No chicken and no beef joints. This has been happening a lot over the past year with many items out of stock or not available especially fruit and veg, Deli and some meats. I have given up ever going in the evening as it looks like there has been panic buying all day with lots of empty areas especially basics such as milk and eggs. I did complain once but got the response that the store was well stocked earlier I was not impressed as it was only 11 o' clock.in the morning.

That states they DO NOT use GM Feed in their production, but like all other producers cannot guarantee GM free due to Global cross contamination.Try and read the links before you post them FO

This is the linked information.
"No guarantee GM free animal feedEthical Consumer received a questionnaire from Lidl UK GmbH in March 2017. In response to a question on genetically modified food, it was stated: “Lidl products do not contain genetically modified (GM) ingredients. The Regulatory Standards for Food state that it must be declared on the label whether a food product has been genetically modified, may contain genetically modified ingredients or the product is manufactured from genetically modified materials. This is monitored by Lidl and an external body.” With regard to animal feed, it was stated: “We work closely with all our meat, egg and dairy suppliers towards using, where possible, non-genetically modified crops in their animal feed. However, global farming has made it increasingly difficult to guarantee that crops imported for animal feed has not been subject to cross contamination with GM materials. Therefore, we, like the majority of UK retailers, are no longer able to guarantee that all our products are produced using 100% GM free animal feed.” No mention was made of whether the company sold non own brand GM products."

I have read it thoroughly, thank you.

When they say cannot guarantee GM-free, this usually mean that it is GM. It's just the standard industry talk.

Hope that makes sense.

Have a nice day

Why would one in the right frame of mind want to microwave fresh pork?

Excuse me while go and vomit..

Kind regards
Lidl's meat is not genetically modified. What utter twaddle. That's like saying something that states on the label produced in a factory where nuts are processed is therefore a peanut.

Unfortunately Mr FO reads one thing and comes up with a completely different conclusion.

Which is a shame because there is nothing wrong with the deals per se. It is just the rubbish he comes out with afterwards and the fact he refuses to ever admit he is wrong
Morrison's used to be brilliant for meat. Prices are just too high now.

Thank you for all the comments.

I'd like to re-iterare that simply copying and pasting deals from the retailers website is very boring and clinical.

I try to add my own expression and opinion of the product with serving suggestions, sometimes with some humour added in.. People generally tend to find this very helpful. It also means that I'm not duplicating information already on the website.

Obviously some of you don't like this, and constantly criticise - in which case I suggest you don't click into the offers that are posted by me.

I'll get my coat..

Suggest you read reports before you use them as "evidence"

"We work closely with all our meat, egg and dairy suppliers towards using, where possible, non-genetically modified crops in their animal feed. However, global farming has made it increasingly difficult to guarantee that crops imported for animal feed has not been subject to cross contamination with GM materials. Therefore, we, like the majority of UK retailers, are no longer able to guarantee that all our products are produced using 100% GM free animal feed.”

The feed could be genetically modified, but that goes for all meat producers throughout Europe UNLESS they are organic and grow their own animal feed.

There's nothing in your quote even suggesting that the animals are genetically modified.

Nothing on there remotely states the meat is GM, it talks about some feed might possibly be, but the meat isn't mentioned.
I think theres something seriously sad and pathetic about someone who comes onto a shopping forum trolling and telling lies.
