Was thinking of getting cat litter for driveway but would it encourange the cats to c**p in me garden??

or 1.54 for a 20kg bag of ballast (not as big as gravel but coarser than sharp sand) from Wickes - that is if they have no rock salt

got four bags in teh back of my BMW as well as a shovel (BMW drivers will understand why)

and if I get really stuck - crack a bag open and shovel some under the rear wheels !

Put your cat litter down and then stick some jeyes fluid on the top of it the cats hate it :-D well mine do

Probably because it is POISONOUS

Not that is is exactly safe for people either.

Just the thing to tread indoors onto your carpets, as no doubt it will, and it will mix really well with the sludge from the fuller's earth cat litter :-(

What is this? One up-manship for rear wheel drive car owners? Is there a Ferrari driver out there with 8?

I had a Fiat 126 for 3 Sottish winters and never needed any!;-) Haven't owned a rear wheel drive car since but I still miss going sideways round corners on Edinburgh's cobbled streets in the rain - more fun that karting!

Not ideal really, as if you google the cat litter solution it causes more headaches than it does benefit a driver..

'Put grit or cat litter on paths and driveways to lessen the risk of slipping on compacted snow'

The Met Office is expert on forecasting weather... well that's what they get paid for - if I want advice on the likelihood of snow overnight, they are the FIRST I will consult.

On the other hand when I want advice on safety issues, or even the impact on household cleaning, which is what we are talking about here they will be LAST on the list of people I would be asking!

You will find a bagful of broken glass will stop you slipping on ice too, but I don't recommend using that either! :whistling:
