Cheap:w00t:

and nasty!

(probably ;-) )

the lasagne is nasty. Oh couldnt eat his and hes not that fussy with meat . He eats kebabs and polony and stuff i dont touch

How did I guess the food snobs would be out in force! :whistling:

As it happens the Lasagne is one of the many products from Lidl that gets better reviews than those from mainstream supermarkets:

This one was rated 10/10 by Best magazine.

Still, while everyone is buying their Asda Smartprice crap which they laughingly claim is equivalent to Aldi & Lidl products, there will be more room for the rest of us to shop which suits me.

If you don't know, then your comment is worth precisely how much?

I was going by the fact the pretty much every supermarket lasagne in a tin I have ever eaten has been rather grim and I doubt this is much different. It was also a slight pun on the previous poster putting 'cheap'.

I shop in aldi often, and 1 a month in lidl and never buy value range in Tesco. ( Only go to chavvy asda when i have to lol). Not a food snob, but do spend a lot on food and drink but also always use my farm food vouchers in Tesco plus OH has discount. So that helps cover my fine taste lol

Oh, good - a particular subject of interest to me :-)

Ah, so the 27 items which have transfats will keep you away, yet it is all over other supermarkets, so I presume you will be buying them there then instead?

I won't be buying foods with transfats from anywhere, I read labels of new products I buy, wherever I buy them it is simple as that!
Now, catering products... that's a different matter entirely: I don't know, and you don't know either, whether what you are buying has them, so perhaps we had all better give up buying food in restaurants takeaways and cafes?

Agreed that some supermarkets have got transfats out of own brands, but loads of BRANDS are full of them, and I don't see the other supermarkets getting rid of them from the shelves as they earn them far too much money.... look at Elmlea for example!

That program you are referring to was just like the one he did on meat - unbalanced sensationalist rubbish - he took a perfectly good subject, with what is potentially a really good argument and ruined it by just making it all a big joke. What a clown :-(

You may want to get on to Google, and find out a lot more on the subject before you buy ANYTHING, beause iof you think you are getting away from transfats by avoiding Lidl, then you are in for a BIG shock!

At least Lidl have only 27 products to look out for.... how many of the 20,000 items on Tescos shelves are full of transfats?

lidl lasagne is the best ever. if you aint tried it (probably because your a food snob ) you dont know what your missing.
food from lidl runs rings around all the other supermarkets, just because its cheap doesnt mean its c*ap

Germany dosen't have the same kind of 'class' based supermarkets as us - most people will shop at Lidl and Aidl - some may suppliment this shop with shopping from traditional retailers such local butchers, markets etc.

Places like Iceland (the shop!) don't exist - 'posher' supermarkets are seen as the branding joke they are
