I've been on the look out for some cheap Kettlebell weights but could not find a decent price. Most were coming up at £16-20 for 10kg. Lidl have an offer next Thursday (12/Feb/2015) for the following:

- 2.5kg Kettlebell - £4.99
- 5kg Kettlebell - £6.99
- 10kg Kettlebell - £9.99

What do you use a 7kg weight for?

Too small for blokes really...

Edit: what i'm saying is it's technically too small for a lot of the major exercises with a kettlebell. I had a 10kg and didn't end up using it because of this.

Depends what you're doing. Kettlebells should be supplementary to barbells and dumbbells, so a pair of 10kgs could certainly suffice for front or side raises, for instance.

Holding down paper

Nice price for a 10kg.

only thing i dont like about plastic bells is a 7.5kg plastic is twice the size of the same bell in cast iron lol

despite it's name does not actually boil water. voted cold.

watch out for the handles.. plastic ones are normally bigger handler, have sharp edges, so when doing swings, cleans , snatches they will rip your hands up..( even the york ones)

It does depend on what you're doing, agreed.
It does not have to be supplementary and you can get a damn good full body work out with a kettlebell. Its very good for functional strength. Although a I started with a 14kg, slightly heavier.

Try a one handed over head squat, deep and controlled.

Keith Weber - extreme kettle bell cardio - boom.

Already on sale in Aldi.

Not sure if this is a good deal or not. Will wait for jase99's unbiased and informative review.

Sure, but I bought one myself from Lidl last year and never use, it's really hardly any weight at all. For instance, for hip thrusts it's way too low a weight IMO.

Oh for gods sake, I was waiting for this type of response. I'm just saying that technically, for a lot of uses it's too bloody light.

Anyway, if you want I'll post this picture so you can get all outraged

Funny enough, they were at my local Aldi in Shrewsbury. I considered buying some but my kettle has a whistle.

Great price. They'll be pretty big compared to cast iron though.

SEXIST!!!!!!!!

Do they deliver? I'd like to buy a couple but don't want to carry them out to the car.

I just lift my lasses handbag weighs about 10kg with all the crap she's got in it.

not even heavy enough for dem forearm curls, nomsayin'?

I am so cheap instead of buying a new kettlebell I taped 2 x 2.5 kg aerobic dumbbells to the bottom of my 8 kg bell . I need a 16 kg new bell . kettlebells are great for core and shredding fat .

I'm afraid it's burning calories that are good for shedding fat, not kettlebells
