Cheap Next Day Courier Collection / Parcel Delivery £6.75 @ CheapCouriersUK ebay

Found 24th Feb 2013
So, was looking to send something fairly big, and tried all the usual methods (parcelmonkey,interparcel,parcel2go) also too long for collect+'s max 50cm dimension and hermes was going to be £5.40 (without sig, only £20 insurance and too slow for what I need).

Checked ebay to find this chap> £6.75 for up to 20kg (he has another auction for £6.95 up to 30kg)

To compare other prices for couriers (apart from Hermes) Including VAT:

Parcel2go £8.70 - Yodel 48hr.
Next Day cheapest £13.19 -Yodel

Interparcel £9.42 - CityLink Standard.
Next Day cheapest £10.19 - UPS

Parcel Monkey £8.99 - City Link "next day" (but not Guaranteed).
Next Day £10.19 - City Link Guaranteed

If you use this bloke on ebay, you have to purchase via ebay for £6.75 and email him the collection & delivery address as well as the parcel dimensions and weight.......but you need to check your parcel dimensions before buying. He wants you to make sure the "volumetric weight" does not exceed 20kg (for the £6.75 listing or 30kg for the £6.95 listing) by multiplying the length by the width by the height / 5000 (or use the link in the first post)

no parcels longer than 145cm or its second side longer than 70cm

the parcel must also not exceed 310cm when you add the length and girth together = (length + (2xwidth)+(2xdepth))

a bit of a faff I know, but worth it to save a few quid.

yes, thats right, ordered this weekend but the label wont be emailed to me until tomorrow morning. (i can envisage the ups guy turning up before Ive printed the label argggghhh) but seems ok for the price anyways.

i used him and he said my size was too big...i used the calculator and was within the size (i think the size on his ad was wrong)
Anyway he emailed me its too big so extra..or can refund. I cut the box down and resent dimensions and he said he didnt believe me and wouldnt collect it!!!!! I sent him a photo of the repacked box and told him to forget it. V unprofessional. He has offered me a free parcel if i dont leave him a negative.

.....good luck when it goes wrong.

they use UPS probably one of the most dependant couriers around

had no problems myself with a laptop a few weeks back, would use again unless you can find it cheaper elsewhere as i'm all ears?

Cheap is fine, until the courier damages it.

You have no rights to speak to the courier, or work with the courier, just a middle man who won't have the infrastructure to support you.

Non valuable, fine, laptop, wouldn't risk it.

It's Now £8.65 from him for upto 20kg
