cool need some cheap paint...thanks heat added

ditto that Fiinny D

tried the 10L magnolia- horrendous - 4 coats later still looking streaky. It's like painting with water.

I don't want to dampen the deal and will not vote cold, but I have learnt in the past that cheap paint mean more coats, longer drying time and more effort.
Good if you are on a budget and time on your hands though!.

Good for a mist coat on new plaster or a first coat over a different colour for instance.
Most cheaper paint however you need more coats so more time and effort (and pssibly money)

At this price worth a punt though

gloss should be ok?

Dulux all the way for me! I've made the same mistake several times with cheap paint, and regretted it every time!

Wilkinsons own brand paint isn't too bad either.

THERE PAINT IS LIKE WATER I HAVE TRYED IT

Is the gloss white actually white?
I need some more gloss and have already used high quality stuff so if the colour is grey not much good.

i bought this from asda a few months ago and its awfull paint

thanks

its not a bargain ... its a cheap low quality product at a cheap price.

tryed the mag today and yes it will prob need 3 coats rather than 2 but not that bad and concidering the price it wont end up costing any extra infact it will still cos much less and it hasnt gone on that thin anyway was covering a colour and it looks much better now its dryed, the gloss is very white and has done a good job so the better product out of the 2

Please be aware that the gloss will absolutley not stay white unlike the better brands

AS I said has its uses but cheap for a reason

Quite apart from its poor coverage, the magnolia emulsion is NOT a true magnolia shade - too much ochre/yellow in it. I tried some of this a few months ago and it went straight back for a refund. I contacted the manufacturers twice to cask about its colour matching and poor consistency and was ignored.

Have to agree about cheapaint=cheap results, 6 coats, ages to dry and poor wear and tear. Spend £12-15 and get dulux or crown, quality is noticeable instantly!!!

I hate painting, just done a couple of rooms.
Takes me ages as I have to stop every now and then to have a little cry. I can't help it, I just get so emulsional.

Picked up two tins of the Gloss yesterday, Thanks
