Cheap Pay As You go - 1p landline,-10p mobile, 1gb internet + cheap international calls @ Delight Mobile

Delight Mobile brings you the UK's best Pay As You Go deal. Standard prices:

UK Fixed(per min)-1p, UK Mobile(per min) -10p, UK text(per text) -10p, Mobile Internet 1000 MB Free each month after you top up , Calls to the same network - Unlimited, Texts to the same network - Unlimited

Also they offer very cheap international calls (calls start from 1p - landline, and 3p -mobile)

Is sound like good alternative for me.

this was posted some time ago, I did have a look but there is too much bamboozle about the offer, triple credit nonsence etc. International calls to certain countries are decent but overally is a bit dodgy..

Very confusing T & C's.Looks like although your credit last 180 days the extra credit they add on only lasts for 30 days.

I notice they don't have Giffgaff in the comparison chart!

I noticed that to. I think is quite good offer. With Triple credit 1 min will cost 3p.

Me not being too clever with these things when it says 1p a minute will that be the total charge or is there a connection fee as well?

This does look pretty good. GiffGaff and TalkMobile are similarly good offers, so its time for a bit of research to fathom their respective T&Cs.

Looks good to me. I'm not going to buy it as I've got aother contract where I get more than enough of free min etc but who ever is considering this deal, do your research like who's network do they use, how is their coverage in your area, what kind of mobile number do they provide as I know some of these new network providers give you a mobile number which looks like a standard UK mobile numer but infact people get charged when they call you. I'm not sure but so your research first.

i dont think you can go far wrong with giffgaff goodybags

i forgot to say you get 1,500 mins free tex and unlimited internet and free calls to other giffgaff users.

What network do they run on?

What network do they run on?

Everything Everywhere (Tmobile + Orange)

hot from me

I think it's exactly the same as Lebara, Lyca or Vectone.

"Delight Mobile brings you the UK's best Pay As You Go deal"

Bold statement.I guess everybody has their own idea of a value PAYG deal.

Minimum Topup - £5

If you haven't topped up then texts are 30p each!!!!

Thanks

Seems like a good deal for a light user but who also needs the internet...100 texts or minutes to any UK network plus 1000MB internet every month for £5.

Banned

sounds great, but the whole triple credit is confusing. what case would it be when you pay standard rather than effective??

Banned

the website is poorly designed as well ..looks like an undergrad web project.

Better deal from 3 after cashback. 600mins, 1GB data and 1000s of texts for £5.01

10p a text is quite a high charge with no bundled free texts, you could easily use £20 of credit sending 200 texts.

Good for light users though who don't really text much, but want to use the internet and make the occasional call

BEST SIM FOR INTERNATIONAL CALLS.
I've been using it for 2 months now, every time you top up with £5 they give you £10 extra. so balance show £15. that means the rate for Pakistan is 1/3 = 0.33 of a penny. and its the same for land line or Mobile. only problem is Middle east, they are not cheap from any calling card / sim.

Unlimited* Internet Offer: A qualifying top-up is required to subscribe. Free internet subject to our fair use policy of maximum 1000 MB/month from date of activation. Top-ups made during the monthly allowance will not renew the allowance granted. A new qualifying top-up is required once the monthly allowance period has expired. Internet in excess of 1000 MB will be charged at standard rates. Offer valid until 31.01.2012. For full terms and conditions visit delightmobile.co.uk. If I used Giff Gaff it would cost me 3 times as much (Or more).]

I use sip (With T-mobile need a vpn) / e-mail and data that is all.
Use whatever current offer is then junk the sim.

If you are going to pay £10 a month might as well have a free phone.

Thanks for posting these relevent T&C's.

Initially the deal seems quite good as I make few voice calls, send a few texts but make good use of the internet. but from what you have shown you could easily get caught out by the small print.

If you monitor your usage and diarise top ups you may find it acceptable, but the detail in the small print should be a warning to all.

Not for me.

I use sip with giff gaff, and stream you tube with giff gaff and listen to internet radio with giff gaff
the biggest different is that giff gaff has no fair use, i go way over 3-4 gb/month, have not heard a squeek off them as yet

i dont see any £10/month which give you all that giffgaff does

however, for purely international calls, and only outgoing, this deal seems decent

Not quite... It's 1p effective rate, so it factors in the triple credit. The standard rate is 3p/min. Check for yourself here...

The point is that the mobile internet 'deal' may turn into something worse at the end of the month, at which time, you've already transferred your number.

Ill stick with Giffy Gaff thanks

Too embarassing: who's your provider? Delight mobile! Lol.
It would be great if internet was always free after top up but I doubt that after reading t&c.
You could use then fishtext or vyke for sms which are really cheap for sending sms even to international numbers.

Cold - far better providers out there who don't have to hide behind overly complicated T&Cs and "triple credit" (whatever the hell that is).

And has already been mentioned - how do you know if the person you're calling / texting is also on Delight Mobile, and therefore qualifying for the free texts / calls

I actually use this service. The only problem is with patchy (t-mobile & orange) network. Their charges are better than any other I know of. The 'effective' rate is the actual rate when taking the added free credit inton account. It is actually cheaper for example to call Nigeria Mobile (3p/min) than UK mobile at 5p/min. Still 5p/min is cheaper than most UK mobile call rates.

oohh .. I notice they aren't so quick to shout about these call charges. These will soon eat up your credit !! Robbing 'stains !!

The tarrifs below apply to all numbers starting with the following:
delightmobile.co.uk/vie…nal

giffgaff runs on o2 network

This companies are good as it lasts, but very annoying when they change the "offer" without notice, so you remain without credit in the middle of the call... That's what Lyca did for Christmas, they tripled the prices without notice , changed on the webiste and that's it...

will stay away from T-mobile network coverage..have been bitten once and will not go close to them again...not voted either way!
