good deal on ebay for rock salt if you dont mind buying 50 bags in one go & moving them yourself away from the front of your property (hard work but doeable)

if you have gravel paths or drives then killing off weeds can get very expensive using glyphosphate weedkillers

I found using plain old rock salt works better and is far cheaper

if you only want single bags & are prepared to collect yourself then wickers do 20kg for £4 each

Perhaps he's going to sow the fields of his conquered enemies with salt so that nothing grows again. He is the bay harbour butcher after all!

Thank you for that spent an absolute fortune on my gravel drive killing those weeds with repetitive strain injury using the trigger bottles last year finally gave up and sloshed a gallon of petrol over the lot worked !!! thank goodness I dont smoke oO

What you need to do is put it into 100g bags, stick a nice label on it in a script like font 'organic artisanal rock salt'. £5 a bag at the local farmer's market ...

What the...is that a battered seagull?

I sprinkle this around the edge of my garden patio and paths - it does wonders for slugs. Like the water scene from Wizard of Oz.

If you need this much you have a serious weed problem.

Yeah I read about that as well when researching the best way to kill weeds. So I bought loads of salt and put it everywhere, thinking I would never have weeds again. It did kill the weeds at the time but now my garden is full of weeds again

it gradually dissolves away & loses its potency - my guess is if you keep re-applying it over a number of years then the soil will gradually become more 'salty' so plants will find it harder & harder to get a foothold

people being surprised at the amount Ive bought probably dont have any *big* gravel areas then need to keep weed free - you can easily use a 25kg bag in one go for a large area - at a guess I'll probably use at least 4 bags a year so I have a decades worth of supply (Im not going to move house unless my house falls down & if Im unlucky & I die then I wont care)

If I threw this on my drive, I'd be constantly throwing some over my left shoulder keeping the bad luck away! Or am I the only superstitious one? oO
