heat from me Op, I guess not enough to thaw the cold. I guess people read the heading without the description about the cashback.

I've just switched over from Three too!
Useless Network
Useless Tesco "Customer Service Advisors".
I was once with Tesco years ago on a phone contract, persistently the phone reception would immediatly drop and end any calls. This happened indoors and outdoors, despite not being in a remote location of any sort.
Instore the "only" soloution, the Tesco "technical" staff ever had was to "sim swap" which happened several times during my contract.
Eventually the "technical" team suggested they would test my handset. I followed their instructions and sent them my handset via their pre-paid envelope.
1 week later they sent back my handset without a soloution or fix.
I contacted them regarding this and apparently they had been trying to contact me on my Tesco mobile number that was outside the handset! They were trying to contact me, in regards to what was wrong with the handset over the phone again!?!
How professional, bunch of idiots that had been contacted in store and by phone to already have explained the problem.
I told "Customer Services" that they had all my contact details, including my email address. Also I made clear to all persons involved that I was removing my sim from the handset whilst sending it in. I was advised by "Customer Services" to send the handset in again to them!
Bunch of cowboys!
I was glad when the phone contract was over.
The Tesco Mobile contract had given me nothing but frustration, headache and waste of my time. Not to mention the number of times not being able to communicate with friends/ family due to lack of service.
On the day I went in store to cancel my contract after the required period.
I was shocked and amused that the Tesco Mobile man I had dealt with on numerous occasions was offering a "sim swap" to another customer with similar reception problems to mine. I couldn't help myself and burst out laughing. He said "whats funny". I said "is that what you always do, swim/swap for every single customer?". His face dropped and he had no answer.

Don't be taken in by Tesco Mobile cheap contracts.
They are a absoloutely useless company tying up innocent customers in long contracts for their money.
Bunch of time wasting cowboys.
Avoid Tesco Mobile like the plague!
Voted Cold
Why would anyone jump on this when much better deals out there on a rolling 30 day contract i.e. Smarty as just one.

This is significantly cheaper when factoring in the cashback.

I guess it depends if you are happy going through cash back and locking in for 12 months.

I don't really see the problem with locking in for 12 months?
We signed up 2 contracts last month. With cash back its a jolly good deal for low data users. BUT.. they messed up my partners connection and after a whole month, his number is still not ported over..he can receive calls, but cannot dial out...shocking customer service, currently everything's stopped.. So, beware!

12 months is a long time for some people. Why lock in for 12 months when you can have a rolling 30 day contract so that you can change providers if a better deal comes along or the monthly price of a particular phone becomes within budget. Flexibility in a rolling 30 day contract.
